I AM STUNNED
May I say that I just love all of you. @kate-flournoy I absolutely adore your Joe and Atlyse. They’re so good, and your calligraphy never ceases to amaze me. And thank you for your characters and compiling them all! Much appreciation!

Hi guys!
This is a scripture-memorization thread. If you have memorized any scripture – or reviewed any scripture you’ve memorized – recently, please post what you memorized/reviewed to encourage and motivate the rest of us! 😀 Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. ~ Psalm 119:11

@PerfectFifths @kate-flournoy @aysia-serene @emma-flournoy @jess @graciegirl @dragon-snapper I really don’t know what to say 😉 besides thanks. I’ve been drawing forever. I’m really a homebody, so since I was five and discovered a line I drew kind of looked like a face, I decided to stay inside and draw because I wasn’t allowed to go trample…[Read more]

@daeus Nice count! I copied down 4 pages worth of transitional phrases (because I really should use more of those) and logged all my characters.
@winter-rose @ethryndal @r-j-Anderson @northerner @graciegirl @Audrey-caylin @overcomer @jess @aella I’m still going. -

@Northerner I have no idea where my first post went. Here. Have it again.
Okay guys.
@Hope gave me a book with three of G.K. Chesterton’s novels in it as an early birthday present, and though I have only read one of them so far it completely blew my mind.
It was The Ball and the Cross.Has anyone else read it? If so, can we please discuss how…[Read more]

@jess @ethryndal That is helpful: thanks!
@kate-flournoy Magnets. I like magnets. Thanks for the idea. (hehehehe)
@jane-maree The nice thing about not knowing what you’re doing is that you get to wing it. 😛 And I do have the world and plot set up, actually, I just have to know if there is any rhyme or rythm to sci-fi in itself. Thanks though!…[Read more] -

@Dragon-Snapper whew… I haven’t written scifi yet, though I’ve got one in the works. And… quite honestly, most of my inspiration for the actual science-y stuff came from studying physical science in my schoolwork. Like… the nature of time. And space. And how gravity is a result of those two, bent. And how stars work… and what gases do what…[Read more]

Does anyone have any experience in writing science fiction? I’ve recently begun to write a sci-fi book, but it is my first attempt, and I’d appreciate any input you all can give me. And also book suggestions that are good sci-fi examples. Anything you can tell me is welcome. But if you want specificities, I’d like to know how to describe mechanics…[Read more]

Fall and Winter months are over, and that’s crazy, but its true. Just yesterday I made the Fall and Winter Goals topic. Or maybe that wasn’t yesterday, but either way, it feels like that.
Well, I was able to complete my goal last time, finishing my novel before the appointed time, and since it worked so nicely last time, I figured I’d make…[Read more] -

@emma-flournoy, thanks for asking 🙂 He is doing much better. He does have to get one more minor cataract surgery as a result of the bubble they put in after surgery, but that isn’t a big deal. Thanks for praying! 🙂
I’m really happy to hear that.
Oh, and I forgot to ask also—has he found another job?
He started one two weeks ago 🙂 However, it isn’t the ideal fit, so he’s still looking around. It is much better than his last job, though. 🙂
Whoohoo! I do hope he finds a perfect fit though.
Thanks!
