@hope I can why you needed to enlarge Captain Tor. I like him.
BTW, I had given The Final clash to one of my brothers to see what he thought and a few days ago I heard him reading it to my other younger brother (the one who writes). I think he must really like it.

@hope Yeshhhh… it’s going to be interesting. 😛 The goal is to cut it down to below a hundred by the time I’m done rewriting, but who knows if that’ll pan out.

@hope So is the princesses secret dancing castle a hideout from the rebels? Does the shoemaker play a role in your story? I always wondered what the poor shoemaker thought. hehehe!
Oh you’re going to have so much fun with this retelling. The adaptions of this story make it one of my favorite fairy tales, so I’m so glad you’re making your own! The…[Read more] -

@hope I’ll be completely honest and say that I was pretty proud of the names when I came up with them… How are you saying them? I say it ee-on I can see what you and @ingridrd mean about Eon’s emotions needing to run deeper. I have a hard time displaying emotions in my writing. Always have. But I shall work on that.
I also agree about Millenia.…[Read more] -

@hope Huh. Mom watched the preview and seemed kind of annoyed by the enhanced romantic element. Maybe I’ll give it a try. 😛
Gathering Blue… was pretty good. It’s a different world. But the ending sort of derails a bit. It’s building up the mystery on one topic and then sort of plot-twists on another topic and doesn’t quite resolve.

Yes @hope, I can definitely see that. Both books were written to make a strong point, not to make you feel good, therefore both plots were highly, highly realistic. If they’d been written just so they could be realistic it wouldn’t have packed as much of a punch, but since they’re realistic to seal the message they’re very powerful.

Okay guys… I just read Lord of the Flies. A friend gave me a copy— I was a little leery at first (with a title like that, you can’t be too cautious) but having finished it, I highly, highly recommend it.
I don’t think I can say I enjoyed reading it, but it is by far one of the more powerful books I have ever encountered. It made me think a…[Read more] -
