@rolena-hatfield – That sounds cool! What’s the name of your book?
@Hope – What was that @Hope? Did I just hear you got chocolate you’d be willing to share? I’m running out. Dark is my favorite. *bats eyelashes and puppy face*
@Bluejay – I love WWI Hi-Fi stories. What’s the title? (I like knowing people’s titles.) If you want to get exactly to…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper What do you mean when you say you like the battles better than the morals/change? I’m kind of confused 😛
So some more writer mind stuff. I was researching the fitness programs for the military so I could see how much my characters would be able to take (by the way, thanks @hope for your amazing blog, specifically the Trampling…[Read more]

The reality of our world is clearer seen through the unreality of imaginary worlds.
@Kate-Flournoy I love the wording you used here. @Hope once you’re done with NaNo, could you maybe possibly do a photo thing with this? It’s just too perfect.
And to answer your question, @Kate-Flournoy, I’ve not forgotten yet. Although it has gotten to the point…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper I think it’s because it’s something we haven’t personally experienced, but that sounds enthralling. A sense of adventure, like you said. Just as the idea of unknown lands magnetized explorers like Leif and Columbus, so the idea of mythical things captivates us today. We’ve discovered our entire planet (well, we don’t know…[Read more]

Yep.
That sailboat person with the weird last name.
Mm-hmm. It’s me.
Been about 6 months, by my math.
For those of you who already know me… yep, I’m back to bug you guys, say snarky things and stick random gifs in random topics.
Exciting, right?

Whaat? I like I See Fire just the way it is. And, yes, Emma. I view the Last Goodbye the only redeemable element of the Battle of the Five Armies. Whatever . . . opinions opinions. Sometimes I make a playlist of all the Lord of the Rings end credits songs (in order from worst to best) and just let the memories flow . . .
6.…[Read more]

@Hope I’ll have to check those out. Thanks.
It seems Peter Hollens does covers of all the popular movie songs, and I knew you liked him besides. 😉

@Hope I’ve only heard the original version. Mebbe I should listen to a different one. But the voice is just too…yucky sounding! 😛 I don’t like his way of singing. What other version would you recommend? (Lemme guess—did Peter Hollens do one? 😀 )

@kate-flournoy I think that’s right. Think of it like “dance” only without the “n” and with a stronger s sound and a bit of us before the s.
Speaking of which, I realized that the u is simply pronounced quickly if my name is spoken slowly. It is when you refer to me casually that the u becomes barely pronounced.
@hope Not that then. It’s like…[Read more]

So I know we have bits of this in Writer Corner #3 and other threads, and if you want to see if other people will write with you, do that on the Writer Corner please. @anne-of-lothlorien So you’re good without a life-jacket now. Perfect! 😀 And the water’s generally deeper than five feet. It was over my head a little at the deepest spot within the docks, so it’s probably more like six feet.
