@his-instrument, My favorite was “The Beginning of Armadillos” for Rudyard Kipling. It poke fun at evolution, and it’s a fun read. (I tried to insert a link, we’ll see how it goes! )

@his-instrument Thank you for your warm welcome! I didn’t know anyone else had used that title! 😀 Yes, I may have taken some inspiration from Eugene. 😉 Who’s your favorite character? I would probably have to say Jason, just because in almost every episode he’s in there’s some kind of mystery. Have you listened to the Last Chance Detectives audio…[Read more]

Great topic @His-Instrument! I haven’t read John in a while, but I do remember he did a great job of sticking to his ‘theme’— Jesus as the Son of God. All the ‘proof’, if you will, of Christ being the Messiah. John chose the stories (plot threads 😀 ) that illustrated and played into his chosen theme, though he acknowledged that there was so…[Read more]

@his-instrument I’ll read the book of John with you! I’m really not that great at literary analysis, so I probably won’t have much to say, but I look forward to learning from everyone else. Besides, I needed to read John again anyway. 🙂

@his-instrument YES! Come to Australia. 🙂
When it’s summer we can get 40C days. About 100F. That is the extreme for us. We may go a degree or two over, but I don’t remember any days much, much hotter. However, I do like the heat, so maybe I wouldn’t notice. In winter, it is temperamental. We can have beautiful 20C days and then drop to -5C the…[Read more] -

@his-instrument No, I didn’t know. I look forward to it. 🙂 I love How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2.
Well, it might be a bit of a long wait. My Mum reads through my stories when they are done, and she has a rather long list to go through with King Wilfred the Hero on the bottom. 😉 -

If you need an idea for a story to write, write about a king who hates his job and comes up with a plan to get himself out of it.
@his-instrument I used this dare and wrote a 5,614 word story. Thanks so much.
I’m ready for more dares people. @daeus, @jess, @his-instrument, @kate-flournoy, @corissa-maiden-of-praise, @ingridrd, @emma-flournoy

@his-instrument Ah yes, we’ve talked about those points some. But it’s still a hard question, whatever the morally right answer might be. And I know what you mean. I could argue both ways for the scenario above too. The death is giving one’s life for their country. And no one claims there is anything wrong in risking death for something like that,…[Read more]

@his-instrument; @c-c-lane Here is my short story with the words:
The sun was just peering over the distant hills. Silence reigned everywhere. Fierce men around me stood completely to attention in the frosty air. At a command from our lieutenant we silently crept up the muddy slope and waited there on the wet ground for the order to begin firing.…[Read more]
