Would your character rather have to live a year in repeat or have a horrid year every year?

Yesterday I read volumes 3 and 4 of Spy x Family, volume 4 of Pluto, and volume 2 of Waiting For Spring. They’re all pretty good so far. Spy x Family is really cute and wholesome, Pluto, is, per usual, a masterpiece, and Waiting For Spring is extremely tropey but I like it nevertheless.

I think my character would choose to breathe underwater, she has had a few close calls around water herself. It would certainly be useful!:)

I thought I’d revive this neglected thread, because it looked like it was starting to collect dust. How is everyone (and all WIPs) doing? Looking forward to New Years? Doing any New Years writing? I did some yesterday, but now I feel like banging my head on my desk for ideas… ah, the struggles…

That seems like a good approach to writing dialogue if it feels like you’re the one talking with them rather than other characters… I’ll give that a shot! Yes, I agree with Issabelle. I tried to read something supposedly innocent there at one time, but it wasn’t very good. Wattpad has a lot of well… trash in it (not wanting to sound cruel at all), but Wattpad isn’t very professional or Christian.

If it’s any help, when writing dialogue or getting a feel for a character’s voice, it can help to hold an informal interview between you and your character. Ask them a question and write down what you believe is their heartfelt answer. It sounds a little odd, but it’s tons of fun.
