Maybe he feels guilty, and to atone for that takes great care of the Elementals, all the while trying to erase the existence of the Catastrophes from everyone’s mind and stop them from asking painful questions.

–I’ve been thinking a lot about the Warden. I don’t think he’s a bad guy…at the start, that is. I think something has to happen to propel him into ruthless maniac-ness. Just don’t know what yet.
