@valtmy LOL! I didn’t know there was a plan. But like I said… a bit organized. 😛
@rochellaine *smiles sweetly* Dearest Rochellaine, why would I ever do something so absurd as that? *turns to notebook*
In other words, I’m not a spy. 😛 There’s no conspiracy anyway. Although,. I do remember those times we talked about a KP insurrection. Looks…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 XD That’s hilarious! Although, our knitting needles are more likely to be old pens with just as much ink as ever. After all, the pen is sharper than the knitting needle. Or… something like that. ?? 😛
Thanks for updating me. Anything else I should know about? Who is currently active on here?

@jenwriter17 Old and Grey? That’s pretty cool … although it’ll take this dragon a while to get there. 1000 years old and still gold. XD Still, it’s epic.
“Til We’re Old and Gandalf The Grey!”
Oh, I just realized – you spell gray differently than I do. XD If you don’t me asking, where are you? I’m east coast.

@valtmy Yep. I also felt it was just a tad too organized. My writing needs to be more free, I think. The organization can be good for some people, just not me. 😉 There are many reasons I prefer KP … but I should probably write instead of rant. XD XD But wow I’ve missed this place.
@DEKREEL !!!!! I’M BACK!!!

Snapper replied to the topic Writers' Corner #17 in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 5 months ago
@rochellaine XD It’s good to be back. Actually, I wasn’t over at Story Embers that much either. I tried, but really just couldn’t get into it. Too many people, too many other forums, and I found it harder… harder than here. No, I’m a Kapeefer through and through and there’s nothing that’s keeping me from that. I’ll be around more often here…[Read more]

I vote fantasy as well, and no, it doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that my current read is fantasy too. 😛 (Ranger’s Apprentice yeaaaahhh!!)(also if this post shows up twice, don’t blame me. Blame the angry computer gnomes in my laptop.)

@dekreel Katie would rather be rescued, although she would be realy embarrassed and probably choose not to climb anything for a while anyway. But, it’s going to be essential to the plot for her to be able to climb, so hehe *turns to Katie* Sorry about that, dear.
@jenwriter17 Katie would choose the parachute. She would have no idea how to fly a…[Read more]

@ariella-newheart Katie would rather be loved, Brant would rather be feared, Jasper would rather be loved, and Ogden would rather just continue his anonymous existence. Not being known is kind of the point of moving into the woods and becoming a grumpy hermit. 😛
Would your character rather face their greatest fear or have their worst secret told?

NC Stokes replied to the topic PRAYER REQUESTS #2 in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 6 months ago
Writing is an “alone-y” sort of thing. We sit in our caves, or corners, or hidey holes, and turn ideas into worlds and people. We may be surrounded by make-believe characters, but if an innocent bystander were to peek into our writing spaces, they would see a teenager on a laptop (or notebook. Or even phone, I won’t judge.). Just one teenager. But…[Read more]

NC Stokes replied to the topic Pen Names in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 6 months ago
@jenwriter17 I chose to use a pen name, simply because I don’t want my real name circulating around on the interweb. 🙂 I’ve never published anything, though. If I do, I will use my pen name. For now, I just use it on writerish websites like this one.

You know you’re a writer when you go into the backyard to wave a stick around aggressively, pretending to fight wolves and whatnot. One of my characters fights with a staff. It’s RESERCH. I’m being PROFESSIONAL. Not just having way too much fun. RESERCH, I tell you.
