I do agree though kinda, in that I personally don’t read a lot of retellings (although there are good ones and this Rapunzel retelling would be fun!!).

I’ve read the original Rapunzel, and it isn’t terribly dark. 😊 The only part I can think of which might be dark is when the prince falls from the tower, and the thorns below blind him. Even then, it doesn’t go into detail.

Grimm’s fairytales are pretty rough. And I do know of one that’s not…great. But no, I’m sure they’re not all like that. They are just dark, of course.

Lol that’s great with Corvina! Y’know that reminds me of anime, they often times have a running gag just like that.

One of my favorite ones is Tauren calling Lesli Sugerbean as a nickname, it’s pretty random and I need to figure out the origin story for it, but bean+cute suger+sweet therefore he’s saying she’s sweet and cute 😭
