@catwing @dragon-snapper @dekreel
I’m starting a short story on Norse/Viking mythology centering around an Alf named Ualair Fencaryn. (Yew-AH-lair Fehn-CAR-yin). Does this basic idea sound good?
Elf finds a magical stone that transports him through Yggdrasil to Midgard, Svartalfheim, Muspellheim, and eventually Niflheim. Must figure out how to…[Read more]

@skredder Oh okay. But still, I really liked it! Maybe you could try publishing your book on KP? (Wow. I say that to a lot of people.
@gh24682468999 Agreed…I can safely say that Tug and Abelard (Arbelard? How do you spell it again… 😅) plus Sable are my favorite characters. And maybe Will, Evanlyn, and Horace! Hmm… interesting!

@daeus 😀 Thanks. They are harder than they look
Thanks for those revision suggestions, too. The last one especially is helpful since it highlights that the dwarves are more experienced with exosuit building, which they are but that was slightly unclear in the first version.

@jenwriter17 Actually, I’ve never read any of those. If you read them, let us know if they were good:D
And no, I’m not on Goodreads. I do get quotes from authors there, though

@dekreel Hmm… good question.
I think a motif is an element that occurs over and over in the story and sort of meant to become part of the story’s theme, whereas a symbol is simply there to represent something. And the theme is the topic your story is focused upon.
So a story’s theme might be forgiveness, and it contains a symbol of forgiveness…[Read more] -

@rochellaine Yyyyesssss… But they’re both technically symbolic objects that represent something. How does one tell the difference?

@rochellaine You could do a smaller thing for the Keeper’s Corner if you didn’t want to do a full-size article 🙂

HAHAHA! Well tell your brother that I appreciate it. X’D I was watching it on a TV channel, so I really had no choice whether I was getting a good one or not. But I’ll take note! XD
*high fives your brother because he also likes Data* X)

Rochellaine — I watched the TNG episode “Schisms,” the fifth episode of the sixth season. It was pretty good! I liked it. My favorite part was undoubtedly Data’s poetry. It was SO FUNNY! XD XD XDÂ Have you seen that episode? He did this poem about his cat, Spot. X’D HAHAHAA ohh it was hi…[Read more]

@clairec Hehe…well, I have a blog, yes, but I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. I’m just writing posts about anything and everything. Maybe someday I’ll get more writing-focused.
I like the For the Faith website, though. If I have any advice, I guess I’d just say don’t stress too much over it.

Greetings, my fellow Kapeefers! I have two questions:
- What exactly is a motif? And what is the difference between a motif and a theme or symbol?
- What is the difference between a symbol and an archetype?

@gh24682468999 Hey! Another person (besides me) who has read Ranger’s Apprentice!!!!!! (Sorry, it’s a really good series in my opinion.)
Oh…um…sorry, that was totally off-topic for this forum.
@skredder I like it! So is this a part of a story, or a stand alone one?

@aislinn-mollisong I am actually planning on making a whole series of holiday-themed KPAs. So if you aren’t in this one, then you will undoubtedly be in another one!
But you did originally sign up for it, if that’s what you mean! You were the first one, in fact…
The one I’m doing right now is Easter-themed
