What are some of your hobbies, besides reading/writing? I enjoy dog training, drinking tea (that’s a hobby right?), drawing (not good at it, but whatever), knitting and sewing.

Yeah, it all depends on the story too, but generally, I like endings where all (most) of my favorite characters managed to survive what the author does to them, *also grabs favorite characters and hides them from the author*…[Read more]

@r-m-archer In Japanese there are honorifics, most commonly “-san” to denote Mr./Mrs./Ms., so for example, I would be called “Zhang-san”, I think. In Chinese we use “xian sheng” for “Mr.”, and it’s usually formatted as “surname” + “honorific”.

Japanese and Korean cultures stem from Chinese culture…so combining/not combining shouldn’t be that much of an issue…one thing that I think would give authenticity is that in most Asian cultures, (at least these three) the family name…[Read more]

Oooh, AWESOME!!!!!!! I’ve been actually really wanting to read Keeper of the Lost Cities! I hear sooo many good things about it!!! COOOL!!! Golden retrievers are just sooo cute, especially when they’re puppies!!!!!! I had a betta fish once!! I might’ve gotten a bit too attached to him. Let’s just say it was pretty sad when he died. 😭

That’s true. Often, I like happy endings. But sometimes, especially in flash fiction, the bittersweet ones are very moving.
