My main critique would be that you spend a lot of time on dialogue. I kind of feel like we just got thrown into the story and all we know about the characters is because of what they say. No pain! It’s more important that we gauge the problems by scans, rather than by ‘I feel like something is wrong,’ because he is numb from the lower spine downward. There is more concern that he won’t feel something until it’s gotten too bad to reverse.
