Honey boo boo. I dunno if she uses a toothbrush or would recognize one if she saw one, so it would have to be purely for comedic effect.
Cool potatoes taste better than cool beans.
I just printed out the first 64 pages of it… I like to do 50 page edits–take a pause to edit every 50 pages, roughly. Kind of helps me stay grounded in the…[Read more]

Awwww 🙁
It’s great! One of the books I’m having my students read this year, and they’ve all really enjoyed it… And most of them aren’t the type to love to read 🙂

Right, the problem is parents (specifically fathers) are not disciplining their children, but are expecting the church to do it for them. The church should just be supplemental. The church should equip fathers to disciple their children, and reinforce what fathers are teaching. Instead, there’s a disconnect, and fathers aren’t teaching, and youth…[Read more]

I checked out your blog, and I REALLY liked your latest post (http://contentedseamstress.blogspot.com/2014/01/our-generation-and-church_15.html) and definitely agreed with you. Have you seen the film “Divided”? It talks more about why youth are leaving the church. Here is a link. It’s less than hour long, and pretty…[Read more]

@Hannah– Cool! What was “Dreamlander” about? I think I’ve heard of it before… not sure. Hah! Fantasy is sort of what I live on… no joke. xD

I’m almost always listening to music when I write. Most of the time it is soundtrack stuff (because soundtrack music is awesome… XD), but if there’s one song that really speaks to the chapter, then I’ll listen to that on repeat… for the hour or so that it takes to write the chapter… Ex. I listened to “I See Fire” from the new Hobbit movie…[Read more]

@Kat — Haha! Yeah.. I’ve finished This Present Darkness and its sequel Piercing the Darkness now! Both of them were great, and This Present Darkness is probably now my favorite book of all time.
As for what I am reading now, I am about to start the second book in Wayne Thomas Batson’s and Christopher Hopper’s co-written series The Berinfell…[Read more]

Hi Hannah! Glad you’re committing to writing and joining the forum! You definitely should post some of your writing in the critiques board!
I’m also curious to know what Kris asked. What do you like to write?

Warning: This excerpt is a tad-bit morbid. Nothing graphic though, at least in my opinion.
Here is part of a chapter of a Dystopian novel I’m working on called “Eventide.” I have a few questions I’d like to get feedback on. I’m still developing the world so some contextual references may change. It’s basically about a society ruled by a…[Read more]

Cool potatoes? Those don’t taste as good.
But, yeah, that’s the rarest type, especially with you being a guy. But you probably already knew that. XD

Oh, goodness alive, I feel your pain 😛 I hate writing intros about myself, too!
It’s awesome to meet you, Hannah!
What have you “dabbled” with the most? 🙂 Have a favorite type of writing (poems, novels, short stories, nonfiction, etc) you like to work on?

Wow. Yes. That should totally be a show. And the sad thing is, it would probably do really well. XD
