🤣 That’s your theme song?! Okay, I can see the words fit well…but the style is so different! Imagine seeing pictures of your guys slide-showing through that song! I just find it funny, because the book’s feel and the song’s feel are so different.
It feels like having “Trouble” play at the end of Chosen season 1!!

Huh. Your brain went to securing the definition of henchman, while I almost immediately looked for what else to do with them. Interesting.

Lol, got it. What would you use Iskyagus’ henchmen for? I already said my first gut idea, but I bet you and Ducktator have different thoughts.

I can totally see Iskyagus with abnormally featured henchmen, like animalistic things with extra limbs/beaks/heads or something. You could play into the creepy aspects of this, so they show off the evil side of magic, and contrast Iskyagus’ more eye-pleasing design.
As long as they aren’t stupid. They can be f…

@whalekeeper @ellette-giselle @theducktator
Hey, quick question. I’m considering giving Iskyagus some primary henchmen. Characters like Mai and Ty Lee in Avatar, or Kallus and Ruku in Star Wars Rebels. Kind of some other wizards who are just under him. I’m trying to decide whether or not I like the idea. I often find these types of characters a…[Read more]

For some reason I started to imagine Hassan as Middle Eastern when you mentioned his name. Probably wearing a turban of sorts.
The men forced him to his feet and dragged his arms up and apart, lashing them to the branches.
So, it’s basically crucifixion, except you don’t get the nails, and you get to stand on the ground. That’s…[Read more]

So now you stole a gun from me?
Well, it’s my world, so it’s my gun. And since I’m its author, I say it’s out of bullets. 😝

@ellette-giselle makes sense. I still feel like something’s not right, but maybe I’m just looking for little tells you’ve put in your other stories when the main characters get captured/executed that aren’t there in this one, and that’s throwing me off.

What… who gave you a gun, anyway? This is a medieval world. The best you should have is a sword.

I’m not sure if this is what it is, but you said the Empire doesn’t take its own people to be slaves, yet there are two Imperials in the “care” (read as “horrific torture” lol) of a slave trader (that might not even be Imperial?) I feel like more people would ask questions, or at least be curious. The soldier that’s bribed into…[Read more]
