Yes, I had pro for a year. I like it, but I would prefer to hand draw my own map (especially if it will appear in my book.)
I have considered drawing my own trees, mountains, etc, uploading the drawings in Inkarnet, then using the tools there to make my own map, put I never got around to it.

Also, I love the map! I don’t know, something about maps of fantasy worlds just gets at me. *Smiles dreamily, looking back towards The Lord of the Rings* I also like the name Huntt for a town; it just seems to fit.
I love the map!!!
Thanks, both of you! One of these days, I will actually make the up-to-date version.

Then maybe it’s a good plan.
Well, the object doesn’t need to be heavy. It needs to leave a convincing imprint on the scene. This the fabric filled sack.

Alan, must you do something stupid????😩
Just met the second crow, but I’m pausing to call something.
I think it’s his mother.
Maybe.
Ooh, good theory.
Seriously, that gave me the ugh-the-main-character-is-doing-something-stupid sinking feeling in my stomach
Same.

Leo
Great blue stars. Leo’s teeth clenched. A tail, here, halfway home. These creeps really hard no discretion. “Good man. On Zero.”

Ty! Just the effect I was going for. Creepy, but not scary creepy. More of just otherworldly.
Thank you!! Glad you like it! : D
Ok I actually just finished it today!

Yay! I’ve been creamed. Now I have eight snowballs….
*grins a disoriented grin*
*falls back into snow fort*
Let’s see what I can do.
Also, adorable scene! I like how you showed what Leon was thinking almost exclusively by his actions. It really made me feel like I knew him.

Have seen that, but it’s been a while. (5 more minutes, and then we stop!)
I’m surprised there was no comment on the Julian/Joseph conversation.

that’s what (frustratingly) keeps me from being able to say this scene doesn’t work.
Part of my mission as an author is to get Christians to consider things they wouldn’t normally do and to think about them. Now that Alan’s joined The Faithful, we are starting to get into this. (Once I am done with this draft, I will write up a…[Read more]

So, Joseph deftly avoided contact with her, and the days dragged into eternity.
Not an easy task since they are living in the same house. No wonder it felt like an eternity.

Leo
He smiled, his throat going tight as he watched the kid. He shifted Quincy to put an arm around Rory’s shoulders. “We go home, if you’re good with that. I’ll explain on the way.”
Rory didn’t outright object, so Leo took that as the agreement he needed. Silvia had taken to scanning windows. Her fingers were wrapped…[Read more]

Let’s be honest. This wasn’t surprising, was it? Rour warned you several times.
You can successfully torture your readers.
It’s part of the job.

It might help to get the first part of Group 1 (wounded, non-fighters, etc) to the river so we aren’t scrabbling to get everyone there after this side mission.

Aw, cute scene between Joseph and Julian! I noticed a few typos, but that’s not a big deal. Only other thing is, I noticed that in Sabina’s letter someone said that the orphans need Jesus. I don’t know why, I can’t remember too many references to Him, so that stood out to me since many fantasy books use a different name for Jes…[Read more]
