@jenwriter17 I’m participating in Crazy Writing Week and The Writer Games this month, and I’m working on training my writing muscles to write consistently as well, so that’s been fun. So…like three or four short stories/novellas and my regular WIP. It’s been super nice to be on top of things.
What about you?

@abigail-m The 2014 Maleficent film was pretty good, from what I remember. But I was a kiddo back then so I don’t know if my judgement was good.
Trilogy? I think they’ve released five by now… I remember reading the last one first because I thought it wasn’t related. I have no memory of reading the rest, though, besides the first.
I should read…[Read more]

@millenium Hiya! So I’m having a bit of that problem too!! So rn what I’ve decided to do is take a step back from the first draft I started and make a document (or whatever) solely devoted to writing down everything I know about my story in order of events. As I’m doing this, new ideas come because i get to parts where u don’t know what’s…[Read more]

@millennium I used to outline my things, but for my current project I decided to try and pants the whole thing. I have the ending clear, as well as a few key scenes, but everything else will be left up to the spur of the moment.
I think for the middle parts I just usually feel my way along. You said that you have a clear start and an exciting…[Read more]

Hey fellow writers! So, I’m joining in on this writing competition and am hoping to cover some serious ground in my new WIP. But I’m someone who will often drop a story less than half way into it for lack of motivation. And to add that to it I’ve just received my first rejection for my contemporary retelling of Aladdin today. Basically, I wanna…[Read more]

@larchness Oscar Wilde has some really good stuff; I’ll never forget “The Happy Prince”. Harry Potter’s probably one of the only fantasy series I’ve actually enjoyed, I don’t like that much high fantasy. If you haven’t checked out Bryan Davis’s Dragons in Our Midst series I would totally recommend that! One of the few Christian fantasy books that…[Read more]

First if it’s certain scenes you’re having a hard time with there’s something I learned that has helped me A LOT! When I come across a certain scene I don’t know how to write or I’m not certain what’s gonna be the filler scene from point A to A.5 I’ll just write something like “something awesome goes here” and get to the part I do…[Read more]

Hey so, I’m having a bit of a problem and not sure how to fix it. I love writing, like I’m obsessed with it, but at the same time I just can’t seem to make myself write. Does that make any sense? (And yes sometimes I like the idea more then actually doing it)
I don’t think i…[Read more]

@larchness Ooh, brothers! I do love brother dynamics. And J.R.R. Tolkien is of course of the best.
What other fantasy books have you read?

@gracie-j Ah, thanks for your words! I appreciate you taking up the time to type up such a long post for me. Very good points, as well.
(Not gonna lie though at this point most of the Webtoons I read are romance so maybe, just maybe, I’m opening up to the genre a bit more…)Watching you and William converse is so….how do I put it. It’s like…[Read more]

@r-m-archer Yea that’s probably where it’s gonna end up in the end. Thru the 5th and 6th books I think there’ll be a lot more conflict on almost all the characters but I do think it will end up in that position at the last book

Great tips!! Thx!! Also, I do know that November’s overprotection does end up blinding him (he “betrays” the group but doesn’t mean to. He does it to protect Ara.)

@gracie-j YESS THANK U!! And yes, both guys get POV. By the end of the series I have 7-8 POVs. I think 7.
And yes my other guy is actually a bit broody lol!
November’s a very sweet, adorable protective guy. He’s kind and would die for Arabella.
