@joy-caroline You with To Kill a Mockingbird reminds me of how @gracie-j is with Gone With the Wind. And personally, I would be like that with East of Eden if I wasn’t so worried about content XD

@ribbonash That sounds great! Looking forward to hearing about your other projects!
Thank you! I’m really excited for this project! Hopefully I can find some time to write it soon…

Thanks for the suggestions. 🙂 I’ll definitely look into them.
Yeah, it always seemed weird to me too, and very long. But when I found the musical I was surprised at how well it made sense. I think they must have condensed and changed it quite a bit to fit it into a musical. If you find time to listen to it sometime, I’m sur…[Read more]

My little sister really loves horses. (We have three, for which she and my older sister are the main caretakers) I’ll have to look those books up and see if I can get her some.
I can’t remember if I ever mentioned it to you before, but I keep thinking of it and then forgetting whenever we chat…have you heard of the m…[Read more]

We had a table at a homeschool conference once, and the vendors next to us were the people who had made the movie. So we heard/watched it on repeat for the entire weekend. 😛 That was much better than the 2 minute breadmaking video that was at the vendor across from us a different time! 😀
Haha, well, I kind of was, but I didn’t h…[Read more]

We do have the picture book based on the Veggie Tales Joshua. That was entertaining. Speaking of Joshua interpretations, have you seen the Jericho LEGO stop motion movie? It’s hilarious. 😀
Thanks! I’ll send you a link to the google doc in a bit.
I don’t know that I have a favorite time period to write. I’ve wri…[Read more]

I usually write historical and contemporary realistic fiction, and (mostly comic) poetry.
Are you more a fan of structured poetry or free verse?

😛 I’ve been informed before that the Rumor Weed episode isn’t the best example of Veggie Tales that I could have seen. Maybe I will look it up sometime. What are your favorites?
Would you be interested in editing a short story for me? It’s kind of written in the abstract which is something I’m not great with and I know there ar…[Read more]

Haha! I’ve seen one Veggie Tales episode in my life, when I was about five or six, and it terrified me. 😛
I’m doing great. Isn’t that American, though? Usually you say “going”. Do Australians say “doing” too?
I’ve been writing a short story and gradually becoming disappointed in how much longer it has turned out than I had…[Read more]

@ribbonash My favorite part would be the moment when you finish drafting a project! It feels so satisfying, and it’s lovely to take a break before editing!
I really value endings for stories! Endings and prose. I think that the ending can make or break a book for me.
Oh yes! QOTW is honestly one of the best threads! I look forward to it every…[Read more]

Brainstorming is really fun! I love it too!
Ah, characters and plot are really important! I agree!

@ribbonash Reading is lit! I don’t blog, but I know several people on here who do!
Those are a lot of books! I’ve read maybe 3 or 4 of them and heard of most. Hope Ann is great! I’ve talked to her sometimes online. And Disney is quite classic. Marvel I have not gotten really into, but a lot of my friends love it.
I love ice cream and cheesecake!…[Read more]

Ahh I finally made an aesthetic for Thirteen Ways to Infinity…it took me very long because there’s so much to cover and I wasn’t sure what elements fully represented it…

@r-m-archer @joy-caroline Okay, um, I think it would probably be best if we stop this at some point…I understand where you’re both coming from. I believe that both the Calvinist and the Armenian views hold truth in them. Each side emphasizes a different viewpoint of the subject, one being God’s control and sovereignty, and the other being…[Read more]
