Thank you so much for making this! XD
I have a couple instances of bad parents in my story, but also some good ones.
I’ve noticed the exact same thing in books for ya these days. It’s pretty tempting to go that way because it’s really hard to give characters actually moral flaws, because we love them and want them to be perfect!…[Read more]

What would ya’ll think of the title, “Afterthoughts of a broken heart”? for my second book? It’s almost a little bit cringe but it sounds much better than afterthoughts of a releaseor.

Not losing any friendship here. I love people who want to talk about important things like this and who aren’t afraid say what they think is true. Please keep reading your dialogues and bringing up great topics to discuss.

I don’t really have time for this right now so…
I realized I want my time on this forum to stay more writing related, so I’m just going to leave the discussion where it is.

@anyone
Anyone read any books by Joel Rosenburg? He writes Adult Thriller novels about Iran taking over the U.S…stuff like that. It’s Christian, and pretty clean (there’s violence though) although I can’t speak for all of them.

Thank you, thank you for coming out and being brave enough to speak about your beliefs. This is a good thing, and you were very respectful and gracious. I personally agree with you and I really appreciate the way you talked about emotion and drama. This is so true.
I have always been hesitant to write about abusive parents/broken…[Read more]

I totally agree! There’s nothing wrong with writing the occasional bad or deceased parent of course, but it seems like every book I read (and even more so with tv shows) has a bunch of characters with parent issues.
Have you read the article on here called “Navigating Family Stereotypes”? It talks about this a bit and has some reall…[Read more]

(I’m just making it that Layson is the one your charrie heard groan)
Layson scoops Maylee up into his arms as smoke fills the room.
“In my eyes!” Maylee squeals, rubbing one of her eyes with her hand. Layson looks around, trying to find an exit. He takes off in the opposite direction, more concerned with Maylee getting smoke…[Read more]

@freedomwriter76 ok!
I couldn’t decide which character so I picked Eddie.
Specific pictures: I will look, but most of my drawings of her are either unfinished or just… weird.
Colors: Yellow (maybe green too?), pastels
Mood: non-dystopian cyberpunk or raypunk, adventure, exploration
Description of character: You know Eddie already, but I’l…[Read more]

@freedomwriter76 I’d love it if you made one for one of my characters, but I see that you already have a ton of requests, so would you rather me wait so that it’s not too much for you?

Wow, that scene was so cool!! Ara has slowly become more and more interesting as a character the more I read about her. Your style in this scene kinda reminded me of the Book Thief. (Just a little bit. The style is still unique to you.) Have you ever read it?
I’m glad you were able to talk to your mom and get past your art block!

I like it, but it reminds me more of a romance novel than a dystopian, but that’s just my opinion.
Afterthoughts of Regret
Afterthoughts of the Shattered (this one’s kinda vague but could also refer to being broken emotionally)
I do like Afterthoughts of a Broken Heart, though. =)
@freedomwriter76
ok, thanks! <3
@gwyndalf-the-wise
XDXD it is basically a romance. It's dystopian, but most of the entire plot is about Layson trying to find a wife. It follows him on a really long journey as a releasor, but it's established early in the series having a family is his most important goal.
<3
XD Nice! Than I vote definitely keep Afterthoughts of a Broken Heart, it fits!
