I recently exited a season of stress, and even though I’m a loosely-scheduled homeschooler, I know what that’s like mentally.
XD I prolly dealt with it in a somewhat wrong way (more time with friends, and more comfort food than usual) but as soon as I let myself rest
maybe cry and very much vent emotionsI simply leaned on Jesus. That…[Read more] -

Although my commenting history seems to say otherwise, I have not left the universe nor have I died. I’m so sorry for the late reply! *facepalm* Juggling high school and a job takes up most of my week, so I don’t have much time for the forum, unfortunately. 🙁
Anywho, wonderful topic to start the discussions for this genre! I know…[Read more]

Oh my goodness, my brother got me to do the same thing. Just with a different anime. It’s called Jujutsu Kaisen, it’s also rated R, but he didn’t bother to tell me that. And he had me watch it. Alone. But it’s fine, the violence isn’t so bad. It was one of those shows that had the right amount of charming humor and a great…[Read more]

That sounds fun. My mom is Texan and she and some of my siblings always enjoyed those types of movies. If you ever visit, be prepared to be assaulted with Chuck Norris memes 😉
Oh, yea that makes sense. It’s kind of sad. I can’t imagine someone forcing me to take my beloved characters and turn their lives against…[Read more]

Ah, yes! Characters totally become our children. XD I know I call a twenty-eight-year-old woman a “girl,” so I get it. 🙂

Agh, no kidding! He’s the best!!! XD
Gotcha. I feel you… I tend to skim through books now rather than read them… Unless, of course, it’s for school. 😉 lol I’ve read all of the GE books, except The Archer’s Cup. I only skimmed through that one. 🙂
Ooo, I haven’t read that in a long time. I’ll have to take a look at that…[Read more]

Ah, I am very late to the conversation…*facepalm*
Your premise sounds amazing, Keilah! I think that either way you write it could be interesting, but them saying “no” could add a lot to the story. Faith has a lot of good points, but I love your story idea! Wishing you the best with this story! 🙂

I used to read the American Girl books. I didn’t like them all that much, and kind of thought of them as discount–Laura Ingles Wilder books. But I was also strongly against historical fiction, so it made sense I didn’t like it.
What’s Fort Apache?
Yea, I agree I like Amy with Laurie, I think it tied the…[Read more]

@kathleenramm hahaha just remembered that XD very true.
When it changed for me was when I really started reading on mythology and history, then seeing how different the cultures are and the myths and legends of each, so it was very jarring to have it all thrown in a world at the same time. I love the humor of his stories and he had an amazing…[Read more]

Oh, is that like a sequel to Anne of Green Gables?
Somewhat random fact: a woman in my mother’s Sunday School group believes heartily that L. M. Montgomery married Gilbert and Anne because that’s how she wanted Jo and Laurie toe end up in Little Women by L. M. Alcott. It makes perfect sense tho. Anne and Gilbert are (at least in my…[Read more] -

Oof, yea, so to tell the truth, I’m usually blinded by childhood nostalgia when I read books that I had read a while ago.
But recently, my sis and I picked up some old and beloved books, and read them again. Just a small series of short stories, novellas, I think. And boy were they predictable. I was informed abt the ending (cuz I…[Read more]

Thanks! I am glad you like it! I try to put lots of friendships in my stories because I am a sucker for good loyal friendships and tragic heartbreaks and I don’t like writing romance much…
