“Mostly stuff about other kingdoms and their laws and cultures. I don’t know much about them,” Bryce said automatically, as if it were true. He put on a smile that was almost real and shrugged. “I’ll probably also brush up on sparring and sword skills while I’m at it. I also study all different forms of neuroscience, psychology, and uh… other stuff like that. But that’s more of a side thing, as you might guess. What about you?”

Bryce shoved his sleeve farther down his arm, remembering at the last minute to cover the electronic watch on his wrist before shaking Jack’s hand. He then realized that the society hadn’t even given him a story to go by. “Bryce Callan,” he started with a smile, trying to keep his voice confident. “Prince from somewhere up north,” Bryce added on, waving a dismissive hand. “I don’t like saying the name. It’s too long. Gets a lot of weird looks.”

Bryce frowned for a moment, then his eyes brightened in remembrance. He look over to the sword that had pathetically flopped off the dummy when he threw it at full force earlier. Then he gave a slow nod, his lips pressed together in a tight line. “Yeah,” he said. “I dropped it pretty hard.”
Bryce swept his mind for something else to say, not wanting to mention that he had never seen a sword in person. The H.O.M.E people did not prepare him for this at all. “Well, who are you?” he quickly asked, trying to meet the boy’s eyes, but finding his fuzzy hair covered them both.

Bryce’s eyebrows raised. “Insane royals,” he repeated, mumbling.
His eyes quickly threw glances at some of the boys in the room. Maybe it would be possible to take a few minutes sometime, and conjur some logical guesses of who the crazy ones were.
“Interesting. So, do you fall anywhere on the crazy scale?” Bryce asked, also using a tone that soley displayed curiosity.

Bryce’s head snapped in the voice’s direction. His eyes narrowed for a moment when he saw the boy, but he hastily refocused on appearing nonchalant. That boy has goat horns.
He straightened, shrugging his shoulders. “Nah, I’m not crazy,” he said with a chuckle. “I was talking to no one- or, actually, to myself.”
The robot in his earpiece suddenly grabbed his attention. “Agent Sullivan, I am not no one! I was named the A.V.I.Y.E, which means ‘the Annoying Voice in Your Ear.'”
Bryce blinked slowly to avoid rolling his eyes. He reached and grabbed the earpiece, taking it out and shoving it deep deep in his pocket. Yeah, he thought. Annoying, a stalker, and unhelpful.
He then refocused on the goat-horned boy with the boy, silently praying he hadn’t said anything to Bryce while the loud, annoying robot was talking.

Hmmm I’m contemplating if I should maybe add something else to my RP…. I’m realizing that I didn’t really write anything that helps Bryce interact with people lol. I kinda just rambled. 😵💫

Hii! I’m sorry I didn’t respond! Honestly I was caught off with the name change and somehow I was just super confused. I had to read the first Jayson post like three times before I finally processed what was happening 😂😭😭

A culture of rules and regulations could be fun to write… Or not so if they were hard to remember.
Yeah, I haven’t really come up with many specific rules that they have. I usually just think about it, then add whatever I can come up with that makes sense.
How many countries are in your world?
There’s not too many that I have right now. There’s only really six that really tie into the plot, so they’re pretty much all I’ve had to mention.

Bryce
The gym was the average place, only it was full of sweaty royal teenagers. Bryce’s face twisted.
Which of these boys was he supposed to approach first? Or which instructor? There couldn’t possibly be anything important here.
His eyes darted around as he tried to take in everything. Nothing stood out, other than fights that seemed too wild to be friendly.
Bryce briskly went past them all, coming into the courtyard. That didn’t appear to have anything helpful either. He frowned, then took a small, black earpiece out of his pocket. Bryce shoved it in his ear, listening as the robot-assistant greeted him with artificial happiness.
“Hello, Agent Sullivan!” it said, yelling loudly into his ear. Bryce flinched and shoved his finger against a button on the small earpiece, turning the robot voice down. “What can I help with?”
Bryce glanced around, assuring no one was too close to hear him talk to what appeared to be nothing. “Do you have anymore information about this mission?” he asked the robot, keeping his voice below a mumble. “Get to the H.O.M.E society’s computer systems and see what else you can find out.”
A minute later, the voice replied in his ear, “Hm, unfortunately I cannot do that, Agent Sullivan. But is there anything else I can help with?”
“No,” Bryce grumbled, then said more to himself than the robot, “No one gives me any details on where to start…”
“I’m sorry to hear that,” the robot said. “Maybe you can start with talking to people! Making friends is-”
“Shut up, I’m not seven!” Bryce hissed, and the robot voice abruptly cut off.
Bryce let out a silent sigh, and he narrowed his eyes, peering around again as if something interesting might appear. He walked over to a section where he found long, blunted weapons and practice dummies. Bryce picked up the sword and held onto the hilt in a way that lacked all elegance. He had only heard of a sword, but the H.O.M.E society never allowed him to see someone fight using one.
Bryce looked around, seeing the way some of the other princes used the weapon. He didn’t think he could swing the blade with poise if he tried ten thousand times. Backing away from the dummy, Bryce decided to take another route. He lifted the sword above his head and threw it forcefully. The blade sliced across the dummy’s head, then pathetically fell to the ground.
“Agent Sullivan,” the robot began, “A sword is not typically a ranged weapon. Would you like a crash course on-”
“No!” Bryce whispered, “I didn’t even ask you!” He was surprised by how the robot voice could somehow see what he was doing. That was new to him. And, Bryce was almost insulted that the robot was inclined to comment on just how bad his sword skills were.
