I liked Robinson Crusoe. What was wrong with it?
It could have been so much better.
His style tells you a lot while somehow telling you nothing. Robinson is a terrible Main Character (Yes, I know he gets better) and there are no side characters when he’s awful to make anything enjoyable. And there’s no promise that Robinson will get…[Read more]

I read this late last night and I thought this meant something totally different.
Oops.
Basically I was upside down on our zipline and I was joking around cuz of the blood flowing to my head.
Yeah, Caleb, they do deserve our respect
Not opossums! They DO NOT deserve any respect at all!
Except the fact they can’t get rabies. Little rats…[Read more] -

Here’s some more random quotes to confuse you:
“Yay, more insanity flowing to my head! My legs are especially contributing!” – me
“Marsupials deserve our utmost respect…says the guy who just threw one through a bush!” – Caleb

The one about reading as a reader and then reading as a writer is so relatable!
You can ask @raxforge , but I have a habit of criticizing every book I read for school from a writer’s perspective. My tutor is still trying to convince me that Robinson Crusoe isn’t really as bad as I said. Good luck convincing a part German to…[Read more]

I filled out another sentence diagram. So far, the Cat (subject) had(helping verb) eaten(verb) the (article describing direct object) mouse (direct object).
A striking saga of nature.

@kielah-h @raxforge
XD I found your reactions very amusing.
My big brother and I were playing tag with the dog, but Marley wasn’t running that fast until a gust of wind came and suddenly he was running as if his life depended on it. Hence, the weird quote.

The chefs would have no idea what to do with a real chicken.
By ‘chefs’ you mean teenagers who can barely put processed food in the microwave, right?

For all you ladies on here, there’s an online camp that runs every few months, set up sort of like our little kingdom here to help encourage writers and help them reach a goal. Before camp you’ll set a goal for yourself (writing ## chapters/scenes/blog posts/words/etc.) and try to reach it in that month. You’re a part of a tent of about 10 or so…[Read more]

Oooh, I like it!! I could definitely feel and experience what Jonathan was feeling and going through.
The only suggestion I would have would be to eliminate some of the passive voice (“The floor was sinking…” “…his brother was on his hands and knees…”). It will tighten up the prose and draw the reader in more.
But that’…[Read more]

Thanks for reaching out, Kefa!! I’d love to chat some more!! 🤗
Hmm… my WIP…
Well, I have a few, but a couple of those have been put on the back burner for now. They were mostly ones written while I was trying to figure out my genre. Which, I’ve decided, is probably gonna be contemporary young adult fiction and histori…[Read more]

Yeah, I mean, it’s really no big deal to me because they’re spelled slightly different (Halle and Hallie), and how they look and act is completely different so they’re very different people in my head. 🤷🏻♀️
