@seekjustice Hello, hello!! I’ve missed you too, though it might not seem so since I wasn’t on either. 😉 The Western…goes okay. As you see, I have a bit of a dilemma. 😛 I think I’m going to focus more on the people than the church procedure, and that should work out fine. Especially since it’s the people I want my characters to meet, rath…[Read more]

@alia Just a normal, good church. I just want to describe it as a church that believes and preaches the Bible, which is what’s important. I’m just afraid that in describing it I’ll add other things that might make people think I believe you need those to make a good church, while I really believe taking the Bible literally is the important t…[Read more]

@alia Fine, I think. I’m trying to describe a church…hopefully without offending people. 😉

@alia Hi! How’s it going?

Rochellaine replied to the topic KP Book Club in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 11 months ago
@ariel-ashira If by “the movie” you mean the Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland one, then yes. If not, no. 😛 But yes, that’s actually the reason it caught my eye, I had seen the movie and I though, “Wow! I had no idea the movie was based on a book!! Cool!” 😉 So anyway, I have only read a few chapters, but it’s really good so far.
Did you…[Read more]

@alia I’m here. 🙂
@seekjustice Second the above question: Are you still here?
I wasn’t on for the past two days either because we were at a conference where my parents were speaking and I was helping out with the website, the booth, and the little kids. 😉 But we just got home and I’m going to try and get some writing done tonight.

@leumeister That is a really cool design!! I like the back view(or second picture, whatever it’s supposed to be) best – probably because of the lights. 😉 My brother has a huge collection of the Star Trek miniature ships, and it reminds me of those, though of course it’s very different from most of them.
My sci-fi stories are about time t…[Read more]

@kaya-young *shivers at the realization of what I’ve done* Please forgive me if it isn’t good! I’ve never read it. 😮
At least I’ve read others by him, though. 😀 But do let me know whether it’s good or not. Even though it’s fantasy I might get up the courage to read it sometime. 😉

@kaya-young Oh, and if you have an iphone you can get any gutenberg books on ibooks, or on any kindle app you can get them, but I don’t think you can get them on an actual kindle. I used to read them on my iphone and sometimes on a kindle app, but now I mostly read them directly off the website just on my computer.
You can probably get…[Read more]

@kaya-young An amazing place to read free books online is gutenberg.org. Project Gutenberg is a website run by volunteers who put public domain books online for people to read freely and easily. I use it all the time, and right now am in the middle of a book there called Captain Blood, by Rafael Sabatini. (It’s about a pirate. 😉 )
The books I…[Read more]

@ariel-ashira No, not at all! 🙂 It’s kind of hard to explain all the pathways a decision travels through my head before becoming final, sorry. Let me see if I can try one more time.
I think the biggest reason was I spent a lot of time on the forums and, like Dekreel said when she went on her hiatus, I could have been using that time to do o…[Read more]

@kaya-young Do you ever read any books online? I know of a couple of fantasy books you can read for free online.

Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #17 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 11 months ago
@ariel-ashira Because I had gotten to be one faster than anyone else did, and it meant that I was posting a lot! 😛 I talk a lot in real life, and I guess it translated to the forums. I was still fairly new, and I didn’t want to have a really high rank under my name when I didn’t feel like I should compared to people who had been here for a c…[Read more]

@dekreel Well, I was trying to write a better explanation of my personality for you, but I think I’ll finish it later. 😀 I was about to tell you I’m going to sleep too.
Goodnight!

@dekreel When I realized that I was an Eccentric Mentor in such a short time back when KP was still teeming with life I was horrified at how much I had been on here and started to limit myself and not post more than a few posts a day if possible to keep my number of posts down. Now since the Kingdom has been nearly deserted I have ceased to care…[Read more]

@dekreel Of course I missed you that much!! 😉 You used to be the person I talked to the most besides SeekJustice, and then you left me! You see, I’m not on any other social media types of things, so you went on to SE and the Aetherlight and I just stayed here all alone…*sniffs* 😛 Haha, okay, it wasn’t that dramatic. @seekjustice Oh, too bad. 🙁 See you later!
@dekreel Hi! Is it really you? You’re on Writers’ Corner? You’re here once again, after a long absence during which I began to doubt that you would ever return?
…yes, I’m still awake. 😛 What are you working on?

I’m here now for the night until I start to fall asleep, probably, as usual. 😀 @seekjustice Are you coming on?

Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #17 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 11 months ago
@dragon-snapper You’re leaving at 10:00 p.m.?! And you’re on the east coast, so I know exactly what time it is for you. (I’m on the east coast too.) Now listen, that is way too early to go to bed!! Do you seriously mean you’re leaving? 🙁
Okaaay…well, anyway, see you tomorrow! Goodnight!
@jenwriter17 See above. 😛

@dragon-snapper *weeps for the 5000 deleted words* That’s about a quarter of the entirety of my western novel right now, so deleting that much sounds terribly scary. 😮
I finally figured out why my book was so long…those characters!
Hm…ah, I see! You mean the characters were secretly adding more words to your book without you noticing? S…[Read more]
