@seekjustice Hey, I was just thinking of something. I think it’s a really good idea, but I’m not sure if you’ll agree. 🙂
Why don’t you keep the origami story at the length it is, entering it in the other competition, and then tweak a section of Stars into a short story to enter in the more restricted length competition? Since it’s not pub…[Read more]

@warrenluther04 Yes, I think that would be okay. 🙂 I’m glad you like my character! And yes again, I think I’d be fine with making an evil army disappear. That would be fun. 🙂 And probably really freak the other characters out, since they can each only fight one at a time, right? 😀 But then, that’s why I’m the sheriff and they’re not!…[Read more]

@seekjustice I really liked something that Daeus said a while ago about short stories. It was something like “Don’t cripple yourself by trying to get the story ‘good enough’ within the word count. A short story should be as long as it has to be to make it a good story, and if that means it’s longer than the word count you wanted, let it be s…[Read more]

@warrenluther04 @dekreel Oh, and I’d be perfectly fine with using my realitization and disbelief abilities against bad guys/creatures that were purely imaginatory. I absolutely love my character in the KPA! (just say I have a really good imagination, like Dekreel did, instead of calling them magical or superpowers.)

@filewriterbase13x Cool! 🙂 I think @catwing has similar beliefs to you: that all magic is bad, but not necessarily magical creatures or fictional references to magic.

@jenwriter17 I’m going to copy Snapper and go eat dinner. I’ll tag you to see if you’re still here when I get back, though you’ll probably eat dinner soon too, right? 🙂
@seekjustice Okay, I was only doing word count comments, but I could do actual editing comments if you want those too. I thought you had completed the editing already.
No, I…[Read more]

@seekjustice Hi there! I didn’t get an answer to my question last night before going to sleep, so here I ask again: Are you able to see my comments on your document, and do you want me to keep doing the same thing, or do you want to do the rest yourself?

@dekreel How did you even find that discussion? 😀
*rereads said discussion* *laughs* Is School a part of the Realitization Squad?
@sleepwalkingmk What newer discussion are you talking about? (Just for the laugh, you know.)

@jenwriter17 That is the worst mangling of a tag I’ve seen yet that I can recall! 😀 Draong?
@dragon-snapper Goodbye!

@jenwriter17 No! I’m editing a short story for her.
Though @seekjustice did let me read the sequel’s prologue a couple of days ago… 😉

@jenwriter17 @dekreel @dragon-snapper @kaya-young @sam-kowal Is anyone around? I’m going to be doing some editing for @seekjustice and then some writing of my own.

Rochellaine replied to the topic What do I write? in the forum Non-Fiction 8 years, 2 months ago
@kaya-young 😀 I did think that was what you probably meant, so that’s why after clarifying I put the other stuff in about writing “how” you know instead of “when” you knew. 🙂 I do believe that the “when” isn’t all that important, but people usually emphasize it because it often corresponds with the “how,” right?

@kaya-young I also grew up in a Christian home, but I am wondering about your wording a little bit. 🙂 I would say I’ve always believed in Christ, rather than always known Him. Because just knowing about him and believing it’s true isn’t enough to get to heaven. The Bible says that even the demons believe. We can’t inherit Christ from our p…[Read more]

@seekjustice “Normal” for my family is different than for most families. 🙂 The little kids go to bed when we tell them to, but the older kids stay up until we’re tired, as long as we get up in time to finish what school we’re supposed to do before lunch the next day. And my schedule is even more different because I’m not homeschooled anymore, s…[Read more]

@seekjustice I’m back now too! 🙂 I skipped out for a while to get ready for bed…and to get another “wee hours of the morning” snack.
Oh, good. Yeah, I have a first draft of my novel with a whole long scene where an antagonist and someone he’s mad at quote The Princess Bride at each other, which I put in as a joke and always planned to ta…[Read more]

Hi Dekreel,
This is really hard for me to write, because I don’t want you to get the impression that I’m upset with you in any way. Just that I need to explain something to you to keep my conscience clean before God.
I don’t know how much you’ve read of what I’ve been saying around the forum, because I purposefully did not criticize on…[Read more] -

@rochellaine I never tried to say you were an EVIL overlord! Just that the troll was a henchman!
I understand. I knew nothing about the etymology of “troll,” so I am very sorry. I didn’t know you had such strong feelings against them! The reason I added a “troll-thing” was because of Snapper’s LOKD. She coined them as cliched henchmen.
I’ll see…[Read more]
Oh, well, you actually did have Jane call me specifically an “Evil Overlord.” If you reread it you’ll see that. It was a joke, but since the whole thing is a joke, it’s not that obvious, and I don’t like being called evil even in a joke, sorry. 🙂 Do you think you could ask Ben to take out that one word from when he puts it on the KP lit site?…[Read more]
@rochellaine I DID? Oh, wow. I am SO sorry! I wasn’t trying to say YOU were evil… Oh I don’t know… I’m sorry!! Yes, I’ll ask Ben 🙁

So I’ve noticed. I’ll try to keep her away from trolls, too.
Well, you didn’t know you were going to be paired up with a troll in the first place, I guess
