@dragon-snapper Are you back yet?
@jenwriter17 @skredder @warrenluther04 I’m writing – how about you?
@sam-kowal Bobert misses Stan; will he be around anytime soon?

@warrenluther04 I play the piano, violin, and harp, though not amazingly well. 🙂 My main instrument is my voice, and I take voice lessons for operatic/classical style.
Sure, I’ll be praying for your friends! Let me know how it goes. I’m actually not really on right now, so if you tag me again I might not answer for an hour or so. Bye for now!

@jenwriter17 While I love performing, as long as I am sure I know what I’m doing, when I am uncertain of the audience or of whether I have my piece polished I get that very same dizziness. My head gets hot, and if I’m playing an instrument instead of singing I have to focus on my hands. So I totally understand! I’ll be praying that you are ab…[Read more]

@warrenluther04 You’re right, I’m in Eastern time, but when I say late at night…I mean 12:00-3:00 a.m. 😮 😀 I stay up really late…
That’s also because that’s the time Seekjustice is usually on because it’s afternoon for her in Australia. If you go take a look at Writers’ Corner you’ll see where we talk into the “wee hours of the mo…[Read more]

@warrenluther04 I just realized that I forgot to comment on your last installment! And after asking you to tag me and everything! *embarrassed face* Oh well, I’ll say that both of them are great. 😉
And I got to work with @seekjustice !!! Hooray! I don’t know if most people realize how much Seekjustice and I talk since it’s usually really l…[Read more]

@seekjustice Oh, goodness! 😀 Haha! Looking at the calendar here I see it’s the 30th, but now I realize that’s because it’s past midnight. So today was really Thursday, and tomorrow will be Good Friday, as you say.
Okay, see you later!

@seekjustice *copies list into a Word document* 😀 Yup, I’m almost halfway through A Little Bush Maid. It’s very similar to a lot of American books from the same period, and very good.
Hm, okay. My favorite American poet is Edgar A. Guest. He writes in a very down-to-earth style, sort of like Banjo Patterson, I guess, but American, if you…[Read more]

@valtmy Thanks! If you request edit access you can put the edits directly in the comments if you like. But you don’t have to. 🙂
Yes!!! If she had just told Uncle Bill that she couldn’t get to the water he would have told her to break the window. I’m planning to have that discussion later in the book. 😀 Just not right now. Right now she’s…[Read more]

@seekjustice I’m sorry, but just as you’ve next to no knowledge of American history, I’d never heard of your Eureka flag. 😀 I just looked it up, so I see what it is now. Looks like we’ll have to trade histories! Do you have any books or movies you would recommend that would give a good picture of your history?
I find it funny that Ken Ham…[Read more]

@seekjustice Oh, interesting! 😀 Yes, I think I did recognize the similarities when I read your book, but I brushed it off as the simple truth that there aren’t that many different ways you can design a flag, so a lot of flags just happen to be similar. That’s really cool, though!
I’ve found a whole lot of books I’d forgotten I had.<…

@seekjustice Well, I’ll try to keep this short…the Civil War started because the Southern states felt the government was becoming too powerful, since the Constitution has a clause which says something like “all other powers are reserved to the States” so the South thought the government was making too many extra laws. One of those laws was…[Read more]

@seekjustice I’ve actually never read The Red Badge of Courage. 😮 😀 That’s partially because I prefer lighter reads to the classics, (you’re much braver than I on that score, 😉 ) and partially because I’m a Southerner. Did you know that there are still people on both sides in America? There are a lot of people who still believe the Conf…[Read more]

@seekjustice Yeah, since that uses magic to teach a good lesson, that of compassion, it’s using magic to exemplify a good purpose. And I couldn’t agree with that, so I’ll just stay away from it and read your other stuff. 🙂

@seekjustice Sorry I dropped out for a while. I had to try on a dress one of my sisters is sewing for me to wear on Easter. 🙂
Ah, I don’t mind magic as long as it’s portrayed as bad. There’s magic in the Bible used by the evil people. I just don’t like it when the good guys use it.

@seekjustice I Love, love LOVE WWI! 😀 Oh, there’s magic in the B&B one? 🙁 too bad. Yes, I probably wouldn’t want to read it then. But oh, I spent a very extensive period of time studying the years surrounding WWI! Not learning about the war itself, but more of the homefront type of things: slang, fashion, music, mannerisms, and a whole bunc…[Read more]

@seekjustice The Beauty and the Beast one?
Oh yes. Getting to the ending is always exciting! 😀 Congratulations!
Am I going to get to read it once it’s done? 😉
BTW I watched the first half hour of ATOTC. It’s great so far!

What are you working on?

@dekreel @supermonkey42 @jenwriter17 @sam-kowal Thank you all so much! This is going to be fun.
My first poem is based on Ben’s prompt
A Giraffe in Kansas
That big loping thing
Looked crazily strange
I started to sing
“Hey!” Get off my range!”
But then all at once
I realized what
A total big dunce
I would be to let
This creature escape“Hey,…[Read more]
