@epicaddie2 Yeesss I love Camp NaNo, 100000% recommend. It really launched me into fast writing and I love every single time it’s on. *total fangirl*

@leumeister I don’t watch DS9 very often, so I kind of forgot about that theme. I have the title music from each series saved on my phone, though, so I just listened to it and remember it now. You’re right, it’s great!
Yeah, I prefer orchestral music. I don’t like electronic sounds really at all. 😉 Though I have heard and enjoyed a few pi…[Read more]

@dekreel I read the synopsis and decided I didn’t want to watch a movie about a Christian English widow falling in love with a heathen polygamist. 😀
Actually, I really should have been able to guess that since I have listened to that song many times over, but I usually listen to covers rather than Deborah Kerr’s version, and the covers don’t…[Read more]

@dekreel Oh, haha! But a modern musical? Because I haven’t seen any modern musicals at all. Oh, could it be from The King and I? The main character in that one is a teacher. Maybe from the verse of Whistle a Happy Tune? (I’ve never seen The King and I) Or…from Getting to Know You!

@dekreel Sorry…still no idea. 🙁 I’ve not seen all the TOS episodes either, though, so I might just not have seen whatever you’re quoting from. And if I have, please forgive me, since apparently I’m horrible at this game. 😛

@dekreel Hm, that’s cool, but I thought you had said you hadn’t seen the movies when I mentioned Kirk having curly hair? 😀 I guess I misunderstood you. 😉
Okay, I tried to figure out your quote, but can’t think of a specific instance. I’m assuming that’s from Star Trek too? Because I really haven’t seen any modern movies except E.T. :)…[Read more]

@dekreel You mean Stars Fill Infinity? She’s only just started the sequel. If that’s the one you’re talking about, then yes, it’s amazing! Jen and I rave over it all the time. 😛

@dekreel And after talking about Star Trek over in the other topic I’ve been getting distracted watching clips! 😛 I’d better buckle down and write.

@dekreel Haha, no. 🙂 They’re both from Star Trek, TOS, albeit one is from a movie rather than the series. Ah yes, now I remember you said you hadn’t seen the TOS movies! That’s why you couldn’t guess the second one. Of the movies I’ve only seen The Voyage Home so far.
The cat quote is from the episode Assignment: Earth.
The Gracie quote…[Read more]

@dekreel Hello, my friend! I’m finally here…for a little while. 🙂
How’s it going?
Wait, why are you trying to find a word that rhymes with “day?” Are you writing my poem?

@filewriterbase13x If you want sci-fi music, I’ve got to say that nearly all Star Trek music is amazing! As for specific ones under that huge selection I will say that TNG’s opening theme has a very mysteriously beautiful beginning, VOY’s theme is beautiful, and the theme from Star Trek Into Darkness is…really cool. 😀 Those are just a few of…[Read more]

@dekreel I was sure you’d be able to guess at least one of my prompts! They’re both from a certain franchise… 😀 And if you haven’t seen those, you ought to see them right away! 😉

@jenwriter17 Thanks! I can’t lay claim to the rhythm, though. It’s in the style of the old-fashioned but beloved limerick. 😀 You said you don’t write poems very often, so if you’re looking to practice I’d suggest you try limericks. They’re possibly the easiest style as to both rhythm and rhyme!

@jenwriter17 I’m glad it’s going well. Oh, too bad. 🙁 Sometimes people enjoy reading shorter books, though, since they don’t feel as intimidated by the time it will take to actually sit down and finish them.
Slowly. But I’m actually going to say goodbye now. I might be on later tonight, but I’m not sure. So see you sometime! 😉

@jenwriter17 Thanks! I’m glad you liked it.
@supermonkey42 Poor Giraffe? I write the whole poem from the farmer’s perspective and you come up with “Poor giraffe?!” 😛 Thank you! Oh, you liked the meter? That’s good. 😉

@jenwriter17 Hello! Here’s hoping you actually get some writing done in spite of what I’m about to do…
Speaking of memes and such…here’s a cartoon I found after talking with my brother all night about which kinds of guns my characters should use in my western:

@kaymart I created a topic a while ago that was popular for a bit but dropped off lately. In it we would post ideas which we had but didn’t want to write or weren’t able to complete, in hopes that others would write them. Here’s the link to the Writing Prompts topic, where you could post your ideas if you want.
This is just a suggestion, of course! 😀
