@aratrea I’ve only been on the forum a few months. Would it actually be helpful for me to shoot a video? I would use my four points to talk about what it is like to join the forum. I don’t want to go to the length of asking my parents about it and shooting myself unless you think a rather new forum member’s perspective would have potential.

@Aratrea Wow, I would love to! I’ll have to talk to my mom about it before I give a definite answer though. 🙂
And I have one question. Are pen names allowed?

@Aratrea, I’d love to! I haven’t been a member that long, but the forum has been an immense help.

Unfortunately, @aratrea, even though I’d love to do this, family rules about internet publicity get in the way. Good luck putting it together!

@bethanysinkyroses, I’m going to tag @aratrea (Josiah) because he just actually took KP to a homeschool conference.
I would definitely like to see KP at more homeschooling conferences because it is a place where we are most likely to be able to interact with our target audience (Young Christian Authors, or their parents in this case). I know at…[Read more]

Thank you to everyone! These were all really helpful and have given me a lot to work through! 🙂
@sleepwalkingmk. That is something that I had not considered! Thanks. I should have thought of that from their angle. It would probably fix the theme, or at least make a start towards it.@kate-flournoy. I will be keeping the two cents. They…[Read more]

@aratrea This lesson taught me so much! I have one question before the homework: In my fantasy book (still in the outlining process), I’m drawing the theme and message from my own experiences, and I have one major event in the story based on my own life. I’m a missionary kid, and my main character also moves to a foreign land. From there, not much…[Read more]

It looks to me as if the Catholic side was still taking part in the war even when they pretended peace. So technically they weren’t fulfilling any of the two right answers. They were the ones who attacked, so they continued to take part in the war. You can write it in such a way that the massacre is the consequence of the Catholics refusing to…[Read more]

So, @aratrea, I showed my two year old brother the picture of you Keepers at the fountain in Philadelphia, and he pointed to you and said, “Oh, look he’s sneaking! Is he a bad guy?”

Reposting this because my original post seems to have vanished…
This doesn’t quite have to do with writing, but it has been somewhat connected with writing (i.e. the music I listen to as I write) and is something I’ve been thinking about – so I figured I’d throw it up here and see what you all say.
Can a part of something be good, if the thing…[Read more]

Ah huh. Thanks @aratrea, hopefully this one actually makes more sense, only 3 EiL’s.
1. The Characteristic Moment

@aratrea Emolas’s EiL is love, same as Lotch, but unlike her, he actually knows it. She sort of lives it without realizing.
Yeah, I was afraid of that. I still don’t think ‘God’s Gifts’ is quite right, but I’m having trouble figuring out what else to call it. And Sley is FAR from being finished.

@Aratrea That FQ for The Little White Horse sounds much better, and fits the book perfectly. Same and with TCoMC.
Well, I’m definitely seeing a pattern with my answers here. It would seem I need to broaden my FQs.
I shall practice accordingly. 🙂 -
