Haha, I know right?! Good to see you, too!
I guess I just like the flexibility of being able to get my school done as fast or slow as I want in a day, without being confined to a specific schedule. How about you?
Cool!

Thanks! Unfortunately, I’m having some serious problems with my website today, so I’m not sure you’ll be able to view any of the pages. 😟 I’m hoping it will be up and running soon.
Same! I normally start making an outline before I write, but it ends up changing so much when I write the first draft. XD

That sounds so cool! I love that concept! I will try to find time to read it soon, because it sounds really cool! 🙂
I have two main WIPs right now. The first is called The Keeper of the Phantom Reef, and it’s the second book in my Daughters of the Sea series. I published the first book, Identity, in March. It’s about an orphan girl named Maria who discovers she has the ability to change from mermaid to human. It sounds like a little kid’s book, I know, but it’s really not. XD It’s kind of a mix of genres: contemporary fantasy, romance, mystery, drama, action/adventure… and probably some other ones too. XD
My second WIP is called The Song that Silences and it’s sort of a dystopian/utopian novel (I’m still figuring it out lol). It’s about a girl named Kali who has the talent of singing, but all forms of art (singing, dancing, writing, painting, etc.), have been abolished by her brother, who is the current ruler of the land. And then there’s also this high school drama subplot through the book that I’m really excited about.
Also, if you want to read the blurb for this WIPs, I have them all on my blog under the books tab.
And I guess that’s about it! XD Are you a plotter or a pantser?
That is SO COOL! I haven’t watched to much Star Wars, but a comic?? It sounds epic! 😀
That’s awesome! I’m homeschooled too. 😉
Cool! If you start a blog, let me know because I will definitely read it!
Wow, your WIP sounds epic! I would totally read something like that! I love the titles you chose for the trilogy, too.

Nice! I think Falon or Sara are my favorite book characters that you’ve created (so far).
Hey, jaded teen girls are always the most fun to write. Some people might disagree with me, but I love female characters who are outwardly strong but actually hide a lot of insecurities inside. They leave so much room for plot twists and lots of emotion!
Hi! No, we haven’t met before… I think it’s probably been about a year since I’ve been on here, so it makes sense.
I love sci-fi and fantasy!!! Oooh, tell me all the more complicated stuff! I love plot and story details! And I love that name for your MC. If you want a beta reader or just a brainstorming partner then I’m here!

I mean, Maria from Identity kind of had a depressing backstory, though she’s not as much of a depressing character. Also, in my other side WIP (that is currently on hold), my MC Kali and the future love interest Judah both kind of have depressing backstories. (But it is dystopian lol… so doesn’t everyone have a depressing backstory?) But yeah, most of my Daughters of the Sea characters (besides Maria) don’t have as heavy of backstories because I wanted to keep the book pretty light for younger kids. In tStS, I explore a lot more heavy topics so I have more of those depressing characters.
I don’t know if that made any sense lol. I just ranted a ton.
Also, if you can choose, who is your favorite character you’ve created so far?
In the words of Jinto Queb, "Hurry, reading is fun!"
@smiley I know! It’s been over ten minutes already! 😆
True lol. YES FALON! I love her too (although I haven’t gotten very far in your fanfic yet). Characters with depressing backstories are always the best lol.

Yep, same as @elishavet-pidyon. I’m subscribed here, so I always read whatever everyone says.
So, since apparently, you’ve read the Wingfeather Saga, (at least I hope you have), who’s your favorite character?
In the words of Jinto Queb, "Hurry, reading is fun!"
It’s true, you did! xD >:(
Yeah, I can see what you’re saying… I think I’ll stick with Maraly, but I agree that there are also arguments to both sides.

Ooh, those are beautiful aesthetics! And yes, I did mean your character’s name, not the guy in the meme.
In the words of Jinto Queb, "Hurry, reading is fun!"
Ooh, those are so good!!! I need you to make some memes for my charries. xD
Is November literally his name?
In the words of Jinto Queb, "Hurry, reading is fun!"
What? Maraly kissed him, and you can totally tell Kalmar likes her! Plus, they have like, REALLY similar personalities in some ways.
However… I can kind of see what you mean about Kalmar and Gayla. Both of them being former Fangs, I guess they would understand each other pretty well.
You’re making me second-guess myself! xD I had always thought of Kalmar and Maraly as a couple, but now that you mentioned Gayla I’m super doubtful.
In the words of Jinto Queb, "Hurry, reading is fun!"
Those are AMAZING characters! (Although, pretty much all the characters in the WFS are amazing, so….)
My favorite characters are probably Sara (because I can relate with her the most), Artham (because he’s just so cool with his wings and stuff), and Janner (because, duh, he’s the hero).
I know, Oskar’s quotes are amazing! And despite the fact that they are frighteningly random, they are still so applicable. xD
My favorite book was North! Or Be Eaten. How about you?
Scene… um… that is so hard! Probably either the scene when Janner dies (I know, that’s horrible, but it’s true) or the scene in the Fork! Factory where Janner has to leave Sara behind. Both of those were heartbreaking. *cries for the hundredth time after reading the books* How about you?
Favorite place: Definitely the Green Hollows.
FAVORITE VILLAIN?!?!?! How am I supposed to choose a favorite villain?! I hate all of them lol. Are you asking about which villain I like the most as in I like their character as a person, or which villain is written the best and most villainous?
I can’t even keep track of all the battles in the book xD. Probably the one up in the Ice Prairies where Gammon came and stuff. That was cool.
So now, you answer all the questions you just asked me plus three more:
- What did you think of the ending of the book? Do you think Janner lived after he died? (Okay, the way I said that just sounded super weird…)
- If you could meet any one of the Wingfeather characters in real life, who would you meet?
- Janner + Sara, Kalmar + Maraly, or Leeli + Thorne?
In the words of Jinto Queb, "Hurry, reading is fun!"
SHOW ME YOUR MEMES. I WANNA SEE THEM SO BADDDD
In the words of Jinto Queb, "Hurry, reading is fun!"
I KNOW, RIGHT?!?!?! (I screamed out loud the first time I saw this topic, LOL.)
Tell me, since you’re new to this topic: who’s your favorite character in the WFS?
And thanks, I love Oskar’s quotes! (That one’s my fave). I even made a document of all his quotes so I could quote them randomly to all my friends. xD
In the words of Jinto Queb, "Hurry, reading is fun!"
You’re welcome! Yes, either of those questions I think would be good.
I think that’s true? I’ve never really thought about it until now, so I don’t know. Like I said earlier, I may not be the very best person to ask for advice on this. Still, that sounds right to me, and now that I think of it, I have read books that have changed thematic questions. Especially in series, the themes often change through different volumes in the series.
I’m not sure that a changing thematic question is necessarily a character arc, though. A character arc is typically the character developing and finding the answer to the thematic question, not necessarily changing it.
