Oooooo, it sounds really good, and has a unique flavor.
Finding a gift through captivity? I think you just helped me with one of my WIPs. 🙂
Thank you, it was fun!
Just because, here is an escape cliche pet peeve of mine:
Saying “I think we’ll make it!” just before getting caught.

Yes! Shadow Throne is my favourite, too, I think! Jaron’s tactics in it are just so good, and the ending was just so satisfying, and there were times where I wasn’t sure how he was gonna get out of those situations, but he did. And I really wanted him to be with Imogen at the end somehow, and he was — although I kinda could…[Read more]

I love the Boiling Rock episodes! They’re some of my favourite — the bromance between Zuko and Sokka is just so good!😁
Just an idea, feel free to toss it away — what if when Zyla escapes she’s crying after this argument with Kedja, and as she gets to the perimeter, she hears Kedja’s screams? This could be a way to hit home…[Read more]

The weekend was busy and then school slammed on me right after that, but I plan to be catching up to all my emails this evening. *GASPS*Â EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I AM SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think my shortest time to write a novel was the first novel I ever wrote, a fan fic which I’m pretty sure took me under a year.
My longest has been my current project The Prince of WalfKlau (working title), in which it took me roughly 2 years to write the first and second book, back to back, another whole year to revise the e…[Read more]

Shortest story to write: That’d be the first novel I completed at like 12 years old. I wrote it in a month, and I have no idea how long it was, probably less than 50K but maybe not. I wrote it by hand, and I was probably able to finish it so quickly because I had a lot of free time on my hands. I was homeschooled with few other hobbies, y’all.…[Read more]

Of course!!! 🙂
THEY ARE!!!!! I’ve seen one and two. Oooo that’s a hard one. I don’t know if I can pick one. I really LOVED number one because Shane Harper was in it, but then again, I just adored the plotline of number two following the teacher. I don’t think I can pick. XD I’m just gonna say both of them. Which one’s your favorite?

This is a great question. I am currently on a quest to seek and destroy cliches, so this is fantastic.
Let’s see.
Work in the personality of your character. Jesper might pick the lock, Picket might (try to) dig out, fight out, etc., and Janner would work the system against itself (and fight like mad if it didn’t work). Every person sees things…[Read more]

Okay, so I’m probably just going to repeat what everyone else has already said since I only skimmed a few of the replies. yeah, I’m lazy. 😂
But I TOTALLY get your question. This is something I’ve been wondering about a lot lately actually. And actually, in my novel, Heir to His Crown, there is a rebellion group that my main character…[Read more]

That’s a GREAT question!!! And actually, I’m in desperate need of some help in this area too with my novel. 😅 So I don’t know how much help I’ll be, but a few things I’m trying to remember with my scene (but seriously, if you guys have ANY tips, I need some too) is to (1) see what everyone else is doing and just… don’t do thatÂ
that…[Read more] -

Wow, everyone has such good, solid answers. All I can think of probably doesn’t apply to your story, so I’ll be brief.
There are christians and missionaries in Islamic countries where all other religions are illegal.
Are those christians rebelling? In a sense yes.
Are they actively overthrowing those governments? Not exactly.
Are they wrong?…[Read more]

When is it okay to rebel? Good question, and here’s my questionably good answer(which is basically what everyone else has said. Those were great answers, ya’ll!). When government goes against what is right or godly, we have to speak up. To go along with evil is a sin, or as the Word says, “to him who knoweth to do good, and doeth it not,…[Read more]

I really enjoy the Royal Tutor series. It’s kinda an alternate history manga series in which the kingdom, Granzireich, is based on the Austro-Hungarian empire, somewhere in the 1800’s. It’s about how Heine, the new Royal Tutor, has to teach the four youngest princes to be candidates to the throne. It’s a really fun series and one…[Read more]

I agree with what @elfwing said about respecting the government, but always putting God’s commands first. As far as I understand it (which admittedly may not be much) we are to obey and respect our leaders, but we are not to obey anything which goes against the Bible or what God decrees. Think about the early Christians — they res…[Read more]

@faith-q So this is personal thoughts, as well as stuff drawn from advice from my awesome dad who’s super good at explaining these things XD I can’t promise my version will be very coherent as I’m exhausted, but here goes XD

Respect and obey are two very, very different things.
