I’ll just casually pretend that I didn’t read that.Pure genius! 😉
I probably should go through and add things to differentiate/clarify. I most likely will, idk.
The first two chapters of this book are really difficult, but I promise things become a bit easier later.
Got it! And I get the struggle. You don’t want to info dump or…[Read more]

Oof… Celerant just put Viktor in an awkward place. His deep sense of justice won’t like that. XDViktor
He was going to have a headache. Not from a strike or anything, but from this whole unruly ordeal.
“Great job!” He passed a ball to a lanky kid with the aim of a sniper. The kid nodded and pegged another…[Read more]

Emrys set Blaine down and tilted Bennett’s face upward, “Of course I’m coming home today! I have a couple days off and ten little beans waiting to party with me.”
Bennett’s face lit up, “Are we gonna watch a movie?”
Awwwww
Mam…” Blaine stared adoringly. Without hesitation, he knew what he must draw. First a circle, because all good things start…

Those are great. I think there’s a little bit of crazy in all of us. XD
Also, the last one is fabulous. I don’t think I’ve done that as an author, though. I’m usually the reader watching on in horror, lol!
Ivyyyyy Greeeeeeennn. Nooooooo!

By “kid” he’s obviously more of a teen, lol.

I actually have a similar drawing I could use some critique on. It’s of Elrond as a kid. I intend to add Elros too. (I’m only a little bit of a LotR/Silmaril nerd, unless it concerns these two. I realized how many amazing twin brothers are in this family, and now I want to know their story, lol. And write a fanfic. Save their uncles… 🥹 The…[Read more]

@rae I like both pictures! The second one looks like he’s moving, which I think is neat. The only thing I’d like better about the other is that I do like the wind coming from behind him/how it pushes his hair forward and frames his face. I’m enjoying imagining them happening right after each other in a scene, like he turned around. 😀

True, true.
We’ve become proficient in anarchy. Says a lot about the quality of our group…. Not sure what, but it says a lot of it.

Yay! And the art turned out so well! Realistic and yet whimsical in a serious sort of way. Is it watercolor and ink?

Oh good! His character design is so cool. Hope it works out! Computers can be an adventure.
That’s amazing. It makes sense that it would work, and it’s so cool that it can. Like a shield from some sci-fi book. *Makes a note to look into it before I start my business Instagram account*
Really! I shall definitely try that.…[Read more]

I do understand that. He’s a great character, but different seasons of life call for different kinds of inspiration/expression. I’ve got a few like that. Have you worked more on Flit’s project? (I don’t think I spelled that right. The translucent bird boy. That was a project if yours, right? )
That is a valid reason not to…[Read more]

I’m enjoying thinking of him growing up. It’s a little bittersweet.
Welcome! And if you do want to share some of your more recent style I’d love to see, whether it’s seeing old characters grow up or getting introduced to new ones. 🙂 Plus, seeing other’s styles develop is encouraging.

He looks good! His expression is so intense… Poor guy.
I wouldn’t worry about the earlobes. Asymmetry is a part of nature. Mine are uneven too! So it wasn’t a mistake, just accuracy. 😉

On further thought, I’ll put in Viktor’s reaction. Not intending to mess up the role play turns. 🫣
Viktor
Trash talk. Fun… Viktor grinned back at Marcel.
“Maybe. But if you manage that, we must deserve it.” He blinked in that completely not innocent way that would give away the sarcasm, mouth twitching…[Read more]

He looks older in this one, more grown up than how I’ve remembered him. I like it.

Okay, I’ve been thinking about starting a challenge in January to read a poem every day. It’s something I’ve seen elsewhere as a way to help develop smoother, more lyrical prose.
I’m thinking that if you don’t have a good poet on hand for the day, a psalm will do. And there’s no penalty for missing a day, just a challenge to see if you can get in…[Read more]
