I have been wondering about the use of swear words in my stories. As a Christian, is all swearing out of the question? Since I write primarily historical fiction, I want my dialog to reflect reality, but I also don’t want to go to far. @alia The Elsie Dinsmore article is here. I don’t agree with everything the article says, but it does make a few good points. Usually I look at a book differently depending on the era it depicts and when it was written, but there are some things you can’t compromise anyway.

@jenwriter17 Actually, its not hard for me to research without being sidetracked if I am into it, but its those times in between when I pause researching and am like, “what should I look up next? Oh, Pinterest!”
