  • @alia oooo both of them are good. I personally love Sir Quinlan the best. I relate to him the most. Rowan was good too, but it was sadder.

  • @rochellaine Puppet making. (Look up Susie Adiva on Instagram if you have it.) That’s my puppet and it also has a link to my puppet friends facebook page.

  • @alia yeah the last one in WOTR was a bit weird. Yes, I have read the Knights of Arrethtrae as well. LOL!

    @catwing Haha *spoiler alert* oops. Yes, you do need to read those books. They are awesome and you’ll love them.

  • @alia Yes, it’s me.

    @rochellaine No I don’t believe we have met. *shakes your hand warmly* I used to be here two years ago, but then life got in the way. I don’t know how much I’ll be able to jump on KP, but I’m back. (I’m starting a home business, so it’s got my focus a bit atm).

  • @alia Course i remember you. You’re even friends with me on here. 🙂 Oh dear. Yes, the fire does seem to have caused things to shut down around here. I wondered what had happened. Oh well, we shall have to do the best we can with charcoal desks and singled chairs.

  • @jenwriter Oh that’s hard. I think my favourite series is Wars of the Realm. But my favourite book is Kingdom’s Quest. I love Keanna. I made a movie once for his competitions and did a scene from her book. Here’s the link.

  • @rochellaine I’m Aussie and I play that alphabet car game. It’s great to help pass the time. Q is hard. We tend to use the word “quote” which is on electrical cubicles beside the road for things like traffic lights etc. I’m not sure exactly what they are used for, but they are there. X is the really hard one for me. (For a harder level, we also…[Read more]

  • @catwing yes, I use to be on here a lot. I miss how bubbly this place used to be too. It’s always a shame when things change, but life does go on.

    @jenwriter17 Yay! Questions. Let’s see. I love books about Biggles. He’s a pilot during WWI & WWII. Great adventures and lots of suspense. As for my fav author, I love books by Chuck Black. My hobbies…[Read more]

  • @dekreel Wow, thanks for such a warm welcome back. 🙂 Well, I have not been stolen away to this story embers website.

    This is indeed the bestiestestest place ever!!!!!

    @emma-flournoy Thank you!!!! *The doctor shall willing allow anyone who turns up to eat healthy ice cream.*

  • Hip hip, HURRAH! Hip hip, HURRAH! Hip hip, HURRAHHHH! *procures glitter and (healthy) ice cream for all*

    Official welcome back, @BlueJay. 😉

  • Hello,

    Many years ago (almost two) there use to be a doctor on KP. Too many cookies @daeus and gavels flying everywhere keep her busy. However, there was the horrible annoying busy place in outer space called Life. And it swallowed her up.

    Recently she has been able to emerge victorious and now has rejoined the writers world.

    To all who knew me…[Read more]

    @seekjustice Hi. I’m also Aussie. I use to be on here quite frequently, but had to leave for 2 years. But I’m back now and if you are interested in writing when America is asleep… then just just tag me. 🙂

    @kate-flournoy, @emma-flournoy, @winter-rose, @perfectfifths, @sarah-h, @spradlin, @overcomer @rolena-hatfield

    Ahem. I don’t know if any of you will recognize me (or are even still here) but I’m back….
    I can’t tell you all how happy I am to be back here, even though KP isn’t running anymore.
    To anyone I haven’t met yet, *waves hello* you’ll…[Read more]

    • OH MY GOODNESS! @bluejay How have you been?? 😀

      • Hiiiii! Glad you’re back!! Maybe you should go re-introduce yourself on the forum and those who still frequent this place can meet you! 😀 I’m not much on here anymore unless I’m specificially in a conversation with someone, but I think there’s a dozen or so people who still hang out.

        And no doubt they could use a doctor. ;P

      • @perfectfifths I’m well. I’ve missed being here with you guys. Life is about to get crazy, but I’m really hoping that I’ll be able to get writing well and truly back into my life.

        @emma-flournoy That’s a good idea. It will give me a feel for who is around and introduce myself to the new people. Oh wait, I’m the new person. 🙂 LOL

        • @bluejay It’s good to see you back. I’m one of the few that haven’t gone over to Story Embers (I’m signed up for their newsletter and read their articles, but I don’t use the forums). So you’ve not been writing much lately?

          • @perfectfifths Yay!
            No, not much. Still working on the Golden Conch. I’ve semi started the sequel to it. And I wrote a short story recently, but over the past two years, no not much. 🙁

            • @bluejay
              Oh yes, I’ve been wondering about that. You left about the time I sent you my feedback/edits and I never heard from you about that. XD I’m sorry to hear that. I know I have times where I’d been writing less, but it’s usually been weeks at most and this year I’ve written fairly consistently. But we all go through dry spells.

              Are you doing…[Read more]

            • @perfectfifths
              Yes, that was right. I’d be happy to send it through in the near future so you can read all the changes. (I believe it will be quite different since you’ve read it.)
              Yes, we do. But I’m hoping that it’s going to pour with rain now. 🙂 And end the drought.
              No, I’m not doing that. I don’t want pressure when I write atm, just need…[Read more]

              I’d love to. How do you want to send it? My email I think has changed since then, but I still have yours, assuming it hasn’t.

              That would be wonderful! 😀

              That sounds like a good plan. Last year I used NaNo to kickstart myself into writing consistently again (and I won it!), and this year I haven’t once felt terribly stressed or…[Read more]

    Whheeee there are some good ones over here. Cliches are so fun to pick on. Some in my list are similar to ones already listed, ’cause I wrote it before I read the thread. I think I’ll change my stuff to the bullet-point method I’m seeing though as it looks way easier to digest than how I wrote my thing.

  • @Alia I’m just moving here ’cause I don’t wanna sabotage the Writer’s Corner…

    Yay that you love the song!

    Eh, extra time is ever elusive. I guess that’s better than not having anything to post though. ;P How long have you been a blogger, and how long have you had that blog up?

    • @emma-flournoy plus moving here makes it easier to keep track of what on earth the conversation is about

      Have you ever listened to Where Were You by Francesca Battistelie?

      I think I started my writing blog about a year and a half ago. Broken journey was at the end of May.

      Do you have a blog? Or does that fall under you not being a writer?

      • Quite.

        I haven’t, but I will now.

        I don’t have a blog, but not because I’m not a writer. I think it’d be fun (and educational, and hopefully useful to others) to blog, I just don’t have time. If I had one, it would probably be a mish-mash of book and movie rantings, telling people to go read Kate’s books, music stuff, general life/spiritual…[Read more]

          • @emma-flournoy, hey, sorry for not getting back to you til now, this past week has been a bit crazy at my house.

            thats the thing I like about my blog is that I can post something whenever I have time.

            your idea for what you blog would be sounds like something I would read all the time

              Oh, well that’s an encouraging thought. ;D

              Huh. I wonder why I thought that.

            • @emma-flournoy,

              I wonder, could the reason that our lives keep getting busier as we get older be at all related to the fact that older people have more responsibility? Mind-blown
              It’s strange, I watch my little sisters act as though the day is so long and I’m over here thinking that there isn’t enough time in the day to actually get anything…[Read more]

              Precisely that. And in that I fervently hope and pray they relish it while they can, ’cause it sure as sartin’ ain’t gonna last forever.

              That makes a lot of sense. I read my Bible early in the morning before the day really starts, but I think a here-and-there throughout the day would be good to add…[Read more]

              My mom printed of a ton of bible verses a few years ago and she puts them all over the house. So thats one way that I am able to read scripture all day

            • Oh yeah, that’s awesome. We do have a lot of that too; sometimes I’m so used to them I don’t really stop and read them anymore, so that could well be a problem. What’s your favorite passage or section? It’s nigh on impossible to choose, I know, and that’s an impossible question, so just, what’s one of your favorites. ;P

            • Thats the downside of having them up all the time, but my mom changes them every now and then so that keeps me looking at them some times.

              One that I often turn to is Psalm 71:1-6

              In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
              let me never be put to shame.
              In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;
              turn your ear to me and save me.

            • That’s a great one. One I find helpful is Ecclesiastes 3:1-15.

              To everything there is a season,
              A time for every purpose under heaven:

              2 A time to be born,
              And a time to die;
              A time to plant,
              And a time to pluck what is planted;
              3 A time to kill,
              And a time to heal;
              A time to break down,
              And a time to build up;
              4 A time to weep,

    Well I’m fixing to be mainly off the computer for the night, so no, but that doesn’t mean the conversation can’t continue. Just mebbe not totally live-time. 😛 Which I don’t mind in the least.

  • @Alia Neh, I’m not a writer, remember…just an aficionado and bibliophile with a writer sister who’s rubbed off on me to my everlasting non-detriment. Sorry though, as it looks like you’re needing company. :/ I’ll think of you and telepathically send inspiration your way though, if that’s any comfort! ;P What are you writing?
