Hi Kathleen! Thanks for the questions! This is a big deal for a lot of people, because we are unique in the claim of modern day prophets. There is a lot to unpack with Joseph Smith, but with an open mind, you can find answers. There’s tons upon tons of criticisms for Joseph Smith and his legitimacy, many have quick and easy…[Read more]

Yeah, I get it. I’m sometimes the same. If they don’t know about the Church when hearing the full name, then that’s an awesome teaching opportunity. If you want to specify with the name Mormon, I find it helpful to simply explain “You might also know us as Mormons, but we don’t really like being referred to in that way,…[Read more]

@magicalstories0611

You probably get this a lot, but if you don’t mind me asking. What are your thoughts concerning the name of the Church? Because it is very stressed that we don’t use the term “Mormon” to describe ourselves, though it is shorter. I won’t tell you not to use it, as your entitled to your agency, but as someone who also represents…[Read more]

Here it is for real this time😅

N’nesha

I watched, terrified as the woman, Viola, pinned Uvah to the floor in an instant, shoving her device against Uvah’s head.

Neshe: What do I do? What is that thing?

Nele: This is bad, this is bad, this is bad…

The man, Bucky, flinched holding his device also,…[Read more]

Alright, I can’t wait to hear your responses! I hope I didn’t come off as condescending in any of mine. I really enjoyed writing them, and I love these kinds of conversations we can have!

@folith-feolin

Ok, so I’m going to write down my thoughts, I’m about in the first third at this point. So all he’s said basically is what we believe, and how that is deviated from Christian orthodoxy. Yes, we believe in a lot of different things (So far all those things I do have a comfortable understanding of everything he’s pointed out) but so…[Read more]

oh, weird, it just appeared, sorry😅

Yep, Absolutely! The Savior taught us to love our enemies, not to say that queer individuals are our enemy, but many can be for that reason, and the principle remains the same.

Btw, I still only have a link to the Radical site, could you maybe tell me what the video is called?

@folith-feolin @orangearmadillo

I completely agree on what you’ve said concerning gender ideology, and it was in the subtext of what I said about technology. My Church is very firm with the Proclamation to the Family, which is simply collecting and reaffirming what we already believed:

So you don’t have to respond. The current discourse just made me want to know your thoughts on the video bel…

Yeah, determinism vs free will is definitely important. If you’d like to see below, I would recommend reading Romans 9, concerning that area of theology. As for the idea of God’s Word being subtly changed over time, that goes into the territory of, ‘is God’s Word infallible or not?’ If you mean translation-wise, yes, there are many…

@whalekeeper

Hi! Yeah, determinism vs free will is defiantly a big thing in this regard. We know we have to accept some degree of determinism, but how much is the question, because we want to preserve our own free will and ability to choose God or deny Him, as that is His great Plan of Happiness.

@orangearmadillo @light-warrior-pen

Absolutely! Does God not want all to come unto Him, every Man and Woman, Jew and Gentile, Race, tongue, and culture. It simply doesn’t make sense that God would intentionally force one to bitterness, then punish them for it, that wouldn’t be a loving God, but a vain and hateful one. I think it’s good to point…[Read more]
