Awww, November is adorable.
Actually, they met when they were 4-5 too, but Reúven didn’t like her! They were “enemies”. XD
She was the granddaughter of an old shepherd in the mountains that opened his house to Micha, and she was jealous of her Grandfather’s attention. Meanwhile, Reúven just LOATHED her. She was sooo annoying.
Once, he called her a nasty name. *Gasp*
But his father wouldn’t have it, so he made Reúven apologize to her (and maybe he was feeling a little sorry for it too. 😉 ). Then he found out she wasn’t all that bad, and they were best of friends ever after. Partners in crime and fellow laborers in chores. (And she was really fun to pick on.)
But in his twelfth year, soon after he began doing more “grown up” work with the men, something happened that turned his life upside down and inside out. It changed him. He clung to his loved ones then, and found in his best friend a steady light in that dark time.
And he vowed that, if the Lord willed, he would protect her, care for her, all his life.
