IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
November 19, 2018 at 9:28 pm #78167@catwing I’d love to word war. (It might help us both with our procrastination. 😉 )
@jenwriter17 Hi! How’s it going?"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
November 19, 2018 at 9:30 pm #78168Bottle shops is the technical word, they are actually referred to as the “bottle-o” though.
I may need some clarification on the alphabet game.
😀 My brother and I were just discussing the difference between Aussie patriotism and US patriotism.
INFP Queen of the Kingdom commander of an army of origami cranes and a sabre from Babylon.
November 19, 2018 at 9:31 pm #78169Aw, well I’m glad Shadow is getting used to the idea of the kitten being around. 🙂
@rochellaine Hi! I feel like we haven’t been able to talk much lately. How are you?I'm a Kapeefer 'TIL WE'RE OLD AND GREY!
www.jennaterese.comNovember 19, 2018 at 9:34 pm #78170November 19, 2018 at 9:42 pm #78171@seekjustice Ah yes, Bottle-o was mentioned in the video as well.
The alphabet game is a game played in the car where you basically look at road signs, license plates, or anything you can see to find each letter of the alphabet in order. I believe it’s one of the most common car games in America. Since “q” is one of the least used letters, we’ll often have to look for shops like “Dairy Queen” or liquor shops in order to complete the game. Otherwise we just get stuck halfway through. Once, when I was very young, I remember my mom writing “Q” on an index card and sticking it out the car window because we couldn’t find the letter anywhere. 😛
So…you don’t have it in Australia? That’s too bad. What do you do on car rides instead?
Haha, that’s one of the most common comments foreigners make about America, whenever they visit us. We apparently have “so many flags everywhere!” and are “so patriotic!” 😀 Any particular differences you were discussing?
@jenwriter17 I’m doing fine. Excited for Thanksgiving! One of my brothers has been away at college, and we haven’t seen him since August, so when he comes for Thanksgiving that’ll be wonderful. 😉 Are all your siblings still at home?
@catwing I know you prefer fifteen minutes, but could we do ten minutes instead? I’m not sure how long I’ll be on here right now."Sylvester - Sylvester!"
November 19, 2018 at 9:48 pm #78173@rochellaine I’m Aussie and I play that alphabet car game. It’s great to help pass the time. Q is hard. We tend to use the word “quote” which is on electrical cubicles beside the road for things like traffic lights etc. I’m not sure exactly what they are used for, but they are there. X is the really hard one for me. (For a harder level, we also play with the rule, you can only use words, no number plates, and it has to be the starting letter of the word)
November 19, 2018 at 9:53 pm #78175@rochellaine Yes, Thanksgiving! Do you have special traditions for this holiday? That’s great that you’ll get to see your brother. 🙂
Yes, they are. I’m just the second oldest, and my brother (23) is doing college online so he’s home.
I'm a Kapeefer 'TIL WE'RE OLD AND GREY!
www.jennaterese.comNovember 19, 2018 at 9:54 pm #78176@rochellaine 10 minutes is fine. We shall start our timers now then.
IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!

Kapeefer til we're old and greyNovember 19, 2018 at 9:56 pm #78178@bluejay Ah, that makes me feel better for Australians. I’m glad you have the alphabet game. 😉 That’s funny though, that you find X to be a hard letter. We can easily find it on all the “Exit” signs along the highways. X is one of the absolute easiest letters to find. I’ve never heard of “quote” signs. @seekjustice do you have any idea what they’re for?
Ooh, levels are cool. I don’t think we’ve played with levels, except to make it easier, using nouns like “grass” or “trees” if we can’t actually find written words, using the initial of the noun to make the letter. Probably because it’s usually a game we play with little kids.
Hello, by the way. 😛 I don’t think I’ve met you before.
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
November 19, 2018 at 10:07 pm #78181@catwing I got 241 words. How about you?
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
November 19, 2018 at 10:17 pm #78183@alia Yes, it’s me.
@rochellaine No I don’t believe we have met. *shakes your hand warmly* I used to be here two years ago, but then life got in the way. I don’t know how much I’ll be able to jump on KP, but I’m back. (I’m starting a home business, so it’s got my focus a bit atm).November 19, 2018 at 10:34 pm #78184@rochellaine I got 249! Ha, ha! I’m getting better! (you did good though. 🙂 Sorry I took so long I had to do something. Life…)
@bluejay Welcome back(even though I didn’t know you before)! Nice to meet you. 😀IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
