Ah, well. For me, I will never get anything done if I sit down to do careful planning and plotting (e.g. I have planned out quite a few things for my adventure/fantasy story and written about 7 chapters but it’ll take forever to plan out the rest because it’s quite the sweeping epic). The trouble is in getting myself to actually write so that’s what I’m focusing on. Forcing myself to write even if I don’t feel like it and have no idea what’s going on.

Um, ridiculous plots? You say like that’s a bad thing… (nervous laughter). I don’t remember this but have I ever explained to you what exactly is the premise of my WIP?
I’m the opposite. I can’t get anything finished without planning. Though I still have days when I have no idea what’s happening next.
Well…I do believe there’s a difference between purposeful ridiculousness and lame ridiculousness, which in all likelihood is what my stories are.

FYI: My WIP is about a queen that falls from grace and goes into hiding… and does that by hiding in plain sight as a rising star in the local theatre scene and waging a propaganda war with her enemies. Ridiculous, yes, but I suppose whether it is lame or not is a matter of preference. 😛

I really love music by Helen Jane Long, Ludovico Einaudi, and the Piano Guys. I’ve heard a little bit of Yiruma too, and Audiomachine is awesome for making playlists to listen to while book writing.

@seekjustice It’s coming along okay. It’s hard for me to outline when I don’t have a spurt of inspiration and a rush of creativity, so sometimes I’m forcing myself to make sure I’m ready for NaNo. But it’s going pretty good. 🙂 I’m still not sure if my schedule will allow me to do NaNo this year, but we’ll see. i’ll keep you posted 😉

If obsessively rewatching Prince Caspian and The King’s Speech counts as prep, I’m doing brilliantly 😛
