@seekjustice, ooh fun. I’m writing chapter 8 of Decisions and looking for a bunch of cliches.

Kapeefer til we're old and greyAugust 1, 2018 at 10:27 pm #75875@alia Fun is the word to describe it…*rolls eyes and faints dramatically*
Awesome! Ah, I love clichés too. I use way too many of them.

August 1, 2018 at 10:33 pm #75877@seekjustice, So dramatic 🙂
I have this short story idea (that might turn into a collection of short stories) where everything that happens is cliche. Not sure how it would actually turn out, but I really want to try it.

Kapeefer til we're old and greyAugust 1, 2018 at 10:38 pm #75879It could be interesting, clichés are fun to play with! @rochellaine likes doing clichés and making them humorous, so she might have some tips for you! My course of action tends to be killing them…violently. But they are a lot of fun to play with. Have you ever read anything by Terry Pratchett?

August 1, 2018 at 10:44 pm #75880@seekjustice, I plan on making the narrator part of a guild of narrators but because he expects things to go according to cliches he keeps accidentally changing the story and telling the villain what to do and not to do. (e.g. the monologuing so that the protagonist knows the plan and escapes)

Kapeefer til we're old and greyAugust 1, 2018 at 10:51 pm #75884@alia That would actually be really funny! It reminds me of a book I once read where all the characters in the novel are actually just actors and everytime someone opens the book they have to play the novel out all over again, which of course, they hate.

August 1, 2018 at 10:55 pm #75888@seekjustice, Terry Pratchett…doesn’t ring a bell. What are some books by (is it a him or a her, Terry could be either way…)?
What book is that, it sounds interesting

Kapeefer til we're old and greyAugust 1, 2018 at 11:03 pm #75889I’m not sure the names of his books, but he wrote a lot, I’ve only read one but he also tends to use clichés in humorous ways. My mum likes his books.

August 1, 2018 at 11:06 pm #75890@seekjustice, I’ll have to look into it.
on a different topic, what do you think of the name Ceer? What type of person would you think she is with that name?

Kapeefer til we're old and greyAugust 1, 2018 at 11:09 pm #75891@alia I’m not sure how clean they are…the one I read was fine, but that was just one that my mum suggested to me because it was based on The Phantom of the Opera, so you’d have to check that out more thoroughly.
Ceer brings to mind a “strong female character” sort of person. No nonsense, brisk, strong, but not necessarily heartless. Probably a princess of some sort. Smart, clever, wise and compassionate.

August 1, 2018 at 11:16 pm #75892@seekjustice, alright, I’ll ask my mom or one of my sisters about it.
hmm, she was young at one time, but not anymore. I guess she might pass as a strong female character. Definitely not a princess. Clever I guess. Should I keep the name you think?

Um…did you mean @valtmy? Or were you referring to something in one of my stories that for some reason I do not remember?
By the way, I’m back, finally. 😀
@alia Hi! how’s it going?"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
August 1, 2018 at 11:21 pm #75894I thought you were a fan of clichés? (definitely most of your short stories have struck me as humorous cliché sort of stories) Maybe that’s just me. I definitely thought you liked anything cliché though.
That’s up to you. You just gave me a name with no context and I said the first thing that came into my head, but if the character has that name, I’d probably pretty quickly change my perspective of the name, if you know what I mean.

August 1, 2018 at 11:22 pm #75895@rochellaine, its going fantastic. What do you think of the name Ceer? What type of person would you think she is with that name?

Kapeefer til we're old and greyAugust 1, 2018 at 11:24 pm #75896@seekjustice, well this character is kinda a big deal in Decisions but since I just came up with her I don’t want to give anything away with context. Also, I wanted to know what the name made you think of
