@valtmy Haha, I was on your document right before you got here, and replied to one of your comments. 😉
Well, that will make me happier. 😀 Weren’t there other readers who liked that part, though?

July 30, 2018 at 6:20 pm #75747Yep. It was funny but I agree that it’s a little too mean (even given the sort of person my MC’s brother is) and my MC should be trying to come across as a proper lady at that moment so insulting a family member like that does not fit with the image.
July 30, 2018 at 6:32 pm #75748Sorry, I got distracted 😉 I’m back now!
Hello!

July 30, 2018 at 6:39 pm #75749@seekjustice It’s okay. I was only here for a few minutes anyway and then I left. I’m back now, though. How are you doing? Oh yeah, I already asked that…Okay, what are you working on? 😛
@valtmy Ah, that makes sense. Yes, half of my problem was that she was doing it in public. Like I said, if she’d taken the other girl aside and said it privately I would have been okay. Except for the fact that I hate bad sibling relationships, of course. 😛"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
July 30, 2018 at 6:55 pm #75750@rochellaine I’ll probably have to go soon but I’ll be at the library earlier than normal (any suggestions for something to listen to?)
Currently I’m working on my breakfast; )

July 30, 2018 at 7:00 pm #75751@seekjustice Cool. Hm, nothing in particular. I tried listening to Bonnie and Clyde recently and hated almost all of it. (I only got halfway through before I had to stop.) But I liked one song. I was thinking you might be interested in it because it stars your Jack, Jeremy Jordan. 😉 But the music was almost all awful, with really heavy rock beats, so I couldn’t finish it. Have you heard of it before? (Have you heard of the real Bonnie and Clyde before? They’re in American history.)
Haha. Breakfast is a good thing to work on. 😀 What are you eating? (I’m hungry, so probably whatever it is it will sound good… 😛 )

July 30, 2018 at 7:13 pm #75752I’ve never listened to Bonnie and Clyde but I did know it had Jeremy Jordan in it, which is probably why I haven’t listened to it. I love him in Newsies but haven’t found anything else of his that I like.
Haha, the fact that they’re “in American history” pretty much guarentees that I know nothing about them.
I had a peanut butter sandwich and now I’m eating Nutrigrain, but you probably don’t know what that is.

July 30, 2018 at 7:22 pm #75753@seekjustice You did know it had Jeremy Jordan in it, and didn’t listen to it on purpose because you didn’t want his image in your head as Jack marred? That’s interesting. I’ve done that before, though…I think. I have this mental picture of me doing it, but I can’t remember a specific instance. 😛
They were gangsters in the 30s, during the Great Depression and the Prohibition era. I don’t know a whole lot about them either. Because they were bad, I wouldn’t expect to like a musical about them anyway, but it’s history, and I do like Jeremy Jordan and Laura Osnes pretty well so I thought I’d try it. I still liked Jeremy Jordan’s voice fine in it, but I really didn’t like the way Laura Osnes sang, and it was completely different from what I thought was her usual style.
Oh, and they die at the end of the musical, I think. (remember, I didn’t get that far. 😛 )
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
July 30, 2018 at 7:27 pm #75754I didn’t listen to it because I know of at least one other musical he’s in and a Tv show which I’ve seen (some of. The bad themes got too much though, so I never finished it) and I’m not hugely impressed with his morals. So I leave it at Newsies, because I didn’t listen to Newsies simply because it had him in it. 😛
Oh, okay. I’d always connected them to the Wild West. I’ve heard of them before, but I don’t know about them.
Well, that’s depressing.

July 30, 2018 at 7:43 pm #75755Oh right wanted to ask: I signed up to be one of your beta readers… So is it confirmed that I am going to be one?
For your historical accuracy comment, they are only talking about copyright laws. Copyright does not exist yet. So it’s not historically inaccurate. Yet. 😛
I am actually merging Korean culture with English medieval theatre for this story so can’t expect historical accuracy everywhere. 😛
July 30, 2018 at 7:43 pm #75756@seekjustice Oh, I see. Yes, I much prefer to watch actors I can trust because of their morals, and not just because of their acting. I picked my favorite singer that way. 😛 That’s one reason I like older stuff better. Back in the “golden days of Hollywood,” the actors and directors did basically one genre. You would do musicals, action, horror, dramas, comedies, or film noir, and you might do one or two films in another genre than your own, but that was highly unusual, except for a few actors, and usually the public would get annoyed if they switched genres. Now, people try to show what great actors and directors they can be by doing as many different kinds of films as they can.
I believe they were in the west, near the end of its “wildness.” 😉 I’ve just been looking them up and found these poems, written by Bonnie, which made me feel much more sorry for her. She’s not repentant, just kind of hopeless. 🙁
