@catwing Continuing our earlier conversation, I didn’t realize that was the kind of prayer shawls you were talking about. 😛 I thought you were talking about men’s prayer shawls, like in Fiddler on the Roof. So do you mean that the women wore different prayer shawls from their everyday head coverings, (or veils, as I called it in my story,) when they went to the synagogue? That makes sense, though I hadn’t thought of it.
Isn’t it strange that the Bible states it’s a shame for a man to pray with his head covered, as though that was common knowledge at the time, and yet Jewish men now always pray with their heads covered? I wonder when that changed, and why?
@valtmy Ok, I sent you the document. I don’t need edits on that, since I’m not planning on publishing it. I just want comments as to which parts are needed to make Bathshua’s story make more sense. 😉"Sylvester - Sylvester!"

Oy! I’m beta-reading again!
You can pronounce it however you want.
July 28, 2018 at 10:20 pm #75718@rochellaine Yes. But you may want to look up the details. 😉
That is strange. I didn’t notice that… I have read some of those passages before but I haven’t thought about it. If I had to guess without doing any research I would say, the Pharisees or Sadducees made up some rule, like you can only walk so many miles on the Sabbath. It could be something else, but if I had to guess.
I do remember that Hebrew days start at sun down. And that Saturday is the Sabbath for them. (I don’t know about Muslim culture so I don’t know if it is the same or if you know that.)
IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
July 28, 2018 at 10:21 pm #75719@dekreel Hey-hello-how-do-you-do-how-nice-to-see-you! 😛 Sorry for falling asleep on you last night. 😉 But I’m awake now! It’s only 10:20.
@seekjustice Don’t worry, Dekreel will soon know who that “boy” is. 😛What part are you on now, Dekreel?
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
July 28, 2018 at 10:22 pm #75720@dekreel Hi! I’m on the same time as you! Yay!
I’m writing my book. 😛IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
July 28, 2018 at 10:23 pm #75721OK I’ve put in my suggestions in the doc.
July 28, 2018 at 10:24 pm #75722@catwing I wonder. 😛 Since it was apparently “obvious” at the time the Bible was written, it must have been later that the change took place. The Pharisees and Sadducees did make up some pretty ridiculous rules, didn’t they?
Well, since that’s in the Bible, I know that. 😉 For holidays, my dad’s relatives start the holiday at sundown, but since they live in America they stay mostly on American schedule for regular days, I believe. I don’t know how they do it when they live actually in the Middle East, but I have been there when they’re waiting for the stars to come out so they can eat after a fast. 😀

July 28, 2018 at 10:27 pm #75723@rochellaine Hey hey! That’s fine. 😉 I’m at the part where Chessy is talking to Kai.
I’m very curious about this “boy…” *smirks* How’s your poison ivy doing, by the way? Any better?
Random-ish question: Would you disbelief a jackalope?
@catwing Hullo! Good to see ya! How are you doing? You can pronounce it however you want.
July 28, 2018 at 10:46 pm #75724@rochellaine Yeah…
Oh, right. 😛
Oh, my. Isn’t there a whole month where they fast but feast at night?
@dekreel Pretty good. I’m going over some blog things now. What is your favorite type of blog post? Life, writing article, talking about books, book excepts, tags, pictures, polls/quizs? (When I said Saturday I would post I meant August 4, not today.)IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
July 28, 2018 at 10:56 pm #75725@catwing I like blog posts with art in them (like your comic) and life posts in general. Like the kind of stuff Ethryndal does (if you’ve ever read her blog).
You can pronounce it however you want.
July 28, 2018 at 10:57 pm #75726@valtmy Thank you so much! That’s very helpful. 😀
Have you convinced yourself to start working on your own project yet? 😛 You said you were having trouble with that.
@dekreel Aw, Kai. 😀 Hey, are you reading the first draft or the second draft? (This is a VERY important question.) 😛 You’ll find out who he is soon enough. He’s not my favorite character, anyway. He’s @seekjustice’s favorite. My favorite is someone else.My poison ivy is better in that it doesn’t hurt anymore, so I can type with that hand now, which is amazing. It’s still huge bumps on my knuckles, though, and it’s started to itch, so that’s annoying. But yes, it’s better than it was. 🙂
Haha! 😛 Hm…what exactly is a jackalope?? I’m afraid I’ve never heard of one before.
@catwing Yes, there is. 😀"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
July 28, 2018 at 11:08 pm #75727Haha. I have phases where I fall in love and out of love with my own projects. I’ve been rereading what I’ve written so far for my WIP to encourage myself to push forward. 😛
Oh by the way, there are some questions I asked you in response to your comments in my doc. Some of them are still bothering me especially the one with regard to my MC’s age but I’m not sure if you’ve seen them yet.
@dekreel @catwingHello. Don’t mind me if I disappear again. It means my writing is going well 🙂
July 28, 2018 at 11:16 pm #75728@dekreel Okay. Thanks!
@rochellaine @valtmy I must go to sleep now. good night.IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
July 28, 2018 at 11:19 pm #75729@rochellaine I’m pretty sure I’m on the second draft. Why?
Good! I’m glad! So now I know I DON’T want poison ivy. XD
A jackalope is like a giant rabbit with antlers. Look up pictures. 😉
You can pronounce it however you want.
