Kapeefer til we're old and greyMarch 19, 2018 at 10:44 pm #67554@seekjustice Oh, I love writing about things I’ve experienced! In fact when I fainted in Drivers Ed class the first thing I said to my mom when I woke up was “Now I’ll be able to write about fainting for real!” 😀 She thought it was hilarious, but I was totally serious, and my descriptions of fainting are much better now for the experience.
Wow, that’s a long spread of time for one book! I don’t think I’d be able to do it. I have trouble even saying things like “a few days later.” D:
The reason I asked was kind of because I can’t wait until Kai grows up. It’s really weird, but for some reason my brain has made him into a really romantic figure. It’s partially his name, I guess, and I think it might also be because his mom and Quillon were very romantic, so it feels like it should pass down. I also would love some father/son time between him and Quillon, even though Quillon isn’t really his father. Am I too demanding? *grins at you from the corners of my eyes*

March 19, 2018 at 10:50 pm #67557@alia Hi! Welcome back. You are here in time to witness the rare occasion that @seekjustice and I haven’t yet started throwing musicals at each other. Be thankful for the peaceful situation, because it’s liable to change at any moment. 😀
Sorrrrryyyy, but I’m not going to tell you the names of my books quite yet. 😀 That’s silly, isn’t it? I’m a writer, and I won’t tell someone the names of my books? The reason is my real name will be on them as the author, and I’m going to wait to let you know my real name until my website is published at which time I’ll tell you all where it is and you’ll get to see my real name. 🙂 Hopefully that will be in one or two days, though!
(Psst. There is actually someone here who knows my real name and owns a few of my books! 😀 )

March 19, 2018 at 10:53 pm #67558@rochellaine, you cruel person…
MUSICALS!!! please, start throwing. hopefully I will be able to catch a new one and annoy my music teacher more because all I listen to is musicals and Casting Crowns
(Who is it? @seekjustice, do you know?)

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMarch 19, 2018 at 11:06 pm #67563I’ve never properly fainted before, but my brother did once and I tried to catch him and ended up lying on top of him. That was where the inspiration for Quillon being super romantic and catching Sapphire and ending up on the floor came from.
I definitely will give Quillon and Kai some father/son time (what is it about the name Kai/Malakai, that strikes you as romantic? I’m curious)! I’m not sure how long it will be until he grows up, but I don’t think this story is letting me confine it to a trilogy, so…*wriggles eyebrows mysteriously* who knows?

March 19, 2018 at 11:07 pm #67564okay, so my WIP is a kinda sorta fantasy novel that is turning really cliché-y, its about this guy that runs off to join a rebellion against the evil priests. if that isn’t a cliché, I don’t know what is. any ideas to make it original?
@rochellaine, its the one I’ve told you about before- This reply was modified 6 years, 7 months ago by Alia.

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMarch 19, 2018 at 11:09 pm #67566I think that, apart from our disagreements over Legolas and Frodo, we could be the same person, because my music intake consists solely of musicals and Casting Crowns.
Ahah, no, it’s not me. @rochellaine and I live (literally) half a world away, across many seas and distant shores. That sounded very poetic.

March 19, 2018 at 11:12 pm #67568@seekjustice, I still don’t know how you can like Frodo…I like Gollum better than Frodo. And I don’t like Gollum. Actually, they might be tied…
So you’re the Aussie version of me? Fantastic
I know, but it was worth a shot, kinda

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMarch 19, 2018 at 11:20 pm #67571I’m 23 words away from my goal for tonight, and its technically time for bed…why do these things happen to me??
@seekjustice, @rochellaine, I must sign off now. are y’all usually on every night at this time? because I think I will be on tomorrow night. but anyways, talk to y’all laterWIP - Decisions
Kapeefer til we're old and greyMarch 19, 2018 at 11:21 pm #67572@seekjustice Oh, haha! I love when I get story ideas in real life.
I have no idea. I think I’m in love with the letter “K”. 😀 Several of my favorite names start with that letter. I don’t really like the name Malakai, but I just remembered while writing this that the name has a hilarious inside joke in my family, so I’m glad you called him Kai, which is romantic, instead of Malakai, which I would probably end up laughing at!
@alia I would tell you to let @seekjustice give you advice on rebellions, since her last book was about one, but honestly, the rebellion failed, and all her characters died, so if you want to have a successful rebellions, you should stay away from her.😀 😀 😀 Just kidding. Seekjustice’s book is AMAZING and she can probably give you lots of great advice on how to make the rebellion less cliched.
I’ve got to go now for Family Worship, but will probably be back in about fifteen minutes.

March 19, 2018 at 11:21 pm #67573March 19, 2018 at 11:27 pm #67574@rochellaine, well, @seekjustice might be the person I need since I don’t know if I want the rebellion to win or fail yet.
@catwing, how many scoops of raspberry ice-cream do you want for the names of the books???WIP - Decisions
Kapeefer til we're old and greyMarch 19, 2018 at 11:28 pm #67575@alia See, that I do not understand at all. But anyway, we can put aside our differences and be twins. 😀
Yes, I usually am. I might see you tomorrow?
Well, the best way to make a rebellion not cliché is to kill absolutely everyone and for it to fail miserably, because that never happens in YA literature.

March 19, 2018 at 11:33 pm #67576@rochellaine I guess K does have a nice ring to it, I like the name too. it wasn’t even meant to be shortened to Kai, it just happened. I think actually, his name being Malakai at all and being shortened to Kai can be attributed to Catwing…maybe? I was going to call him Malachi, but I thought it sounded really old fashioned, and Catwing liked Malakai, so Malakai it became.
Bye for now!

You have been making me laugh aloud excessively lately. 😀 You should actually put that in the writing prompts topic.
@alia I’m usually on around this time too. Hope to see you tomorrow!
@catwing DO NOT BETRAY ME!!! 😀 (*winks* But you could tell her that my books are amazing, wonderful, and works of art, couldn’t you?) Alia, actually they’re a kids series aimed at 8-14-year-olds, so they’re not epic at all. But I’ve got some good reviews from my readers."Sylvester - Sylvester!"
