It’s going pretty good for me! I had finished up my final drafts and edits for my main WIP, Into the Lamp, a couple weeks ago and have submitted to one literary agents already. *fingers-crossed* And I’ve already started doing a bit of plotting for my next novel!!!!

TeenWritersNook.comDecember 30, 2020 at 12:48 pm #88164That’s great, Issabelle!!!!!! It’s a super awesome feeling to finish a book, so congrats and best of luck!!! I’d love to read it if you don’t mind! It sounds really interesting! 🙂 It makes me more motivated to finish my own WIP when I read other people finishing theirs!
December 30, 2020 at 1:04 pm #88165I’ve been kind of taking a break in December, but I am so pumped to get back at it come January (even if it is editing). I’m currently working on editing my superhero novel, the first in a duology. Editing is a struggle for me, but it’s still fun at times and going pretty well. 🙂

@nova21 Yippee! Praying for you, girl!
@issawriter17 Hiya and welcome to KP! It’s so exciting to hear that you’ve submitted your novel to a literary agent! Keep us update on how it goes!
@jenwriter17 That’s great! Keep us posted on how the editing goes! 🙂December 30, 2020 at 2:39 pm #88168@Gracie J.
My WIP has actually been smooth sailing today! I’ve gotten a lot written and edited, so I’m hyped about it for the time being! My current word count is probably around 16,000 words, but I have a tendency to edit every scene once I finish it, so that slows me down a bit. I’ve hit a little bump in the road, though, trying to figure out how to introduce a new main character… sigh, I’ll figure it out! 🙂

Aww, thanks!!!! 🤗 I may have already asked this, but when do you think you’ll finish Bound and Determined?
How long does it normally take for an agent to respond? (That shows you how much thought I’ve put into publishing, lol 😂) I hope the process goes smoothly and quickly!!!!!
Oooo, congrats on finishing!!! Editing sounds rough…😬 When do you think you’ll start your next book?
GREAT work everyone, KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!! 😃😃😃

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oooh, that’d be AWESOME for you to read it!!!!!!!!! I’m not sure how that’d work yet, though!!!It really depends on the agent. I know some who’ll respond to query letters in three weeks and some who takes three months. And then there are those who don’t respond at all. And that’s just the query letter!! Then you move into partial requests and/or full requests. To go through the whole traditionally publishing process can take up to two years. But THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I hope so too!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! I thought this would be a good place for me to start making my first posts. XD Thanks, @gracie-j, for inviting me to share!
Anyways, my WIP is a Biblical fiction novel about St. Paul and his ministry, told through the eyes of his devoted younger sister. His sister, Temira, is the narrator of the entire novel so we see everything through her eyes, but Paul is the protagonist/hero of the story. Temira is just the eyes and voice through which his story is told.
I’m not very good at explaining, LOL, so I’ll just share my back-cover summary here:
Life with abusive, neglectful parents would have killed Temira, if not for her older brother, the only person in the world who loved her. But when only five years old, she was separated from him when their parents sent him to study in Jerusalem with a famous rabbi.
Now, as a young woman, Temira is left a widow with a three-year-old son after the death of her abusive husband. Her estranged brother couldn’t care less about her, being a Jewish leader with only one ambition in life: destroying the followers of Jesus Christ. She wonders what other cruelties Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, means to do to her.
Until her brother shows up at her door, begging her forgiveness. Has he gone mad? At first she rejects his plea for reconciliation. But his pursuing love is determined to draw her to him – and to the man he now calls the Lord Jesus Christ.
Soon Temira is following her brother Paul through heaven and hell. The life of an apostle’s sister involves terrible pain. Paul needs her help to bear the days filled with imprisonment, torture, illness, and the threat of martyrdom. But will their love for each other and for the Lord Jesus last? Will guilt over the past destroy everything? Or is a tender bond really strong enough to break every chain?
A deeply moving story about the love of a little sister for her brother, The Apostle’s Sister will take readers through a journey of suffering, forgiveness, and the sacrifice that overcomes death itself.
So there’s the summary. Again, thanks for inviting me to join, and I wish y’all the absolute best with your own WIPs!
