Well. This is going to take a bit. Just.. Gimme a minute I’m changing a few things up to turn cliches inherent to the plot on their heads.

(Can I just, like, borrow them forever and ever?:) *gasps* All right, so Random Thought™, but I just thought about this: what if our cast of characters met each other? Like if Tinumali met Caira, and Arvi met Deek, and Horace met Newton… Wow, that would be so interesting to write!!:)

*grins* Aww, that would be INCREDIBLE to do!!:) And yes, totally (I’m in a group chat with a few other girls on Google Hangouts, so that would work)!! I have a feeling Caira and Tin would get along very well, but I’m not so sure about Deek and Arvi XD Yay, please do!! I found an excerpt earlier (it’s VERY first draft, but until I can find better, this will have to do XD Some things may not make sense :’)
“Hey, Alana?” Caira questioned, using her elbows to position herself upright on her cabin bed. “D’you think I could have a word with the Matriarchs tomorrow? Are Prospects allowed to do that?”
Alana placed her staff down on her wolf-fur blanket, and now initiated unraveling her hair braids, which only exposed how much chocolate-brown hair she truly had. She bit the corner of her lip, putting her fingers on the tips of her toes. “Yup!” she said, nodding. “You usually only have about five minutes to prove that what you’re talking about is worth their time. The Matriarchs don’t dilly-dally with time. Why? What’s up?”
Caira blinked, and she hesitantly lifted her eyes to meet the roof of the cabin room, where she eyed the wooden rafters. The ceiling…? The rafters…? My owl…? I don’t understand…
“Uh… the rafters? Those are up…”
Alana narrowed an eye, and when it clicked of Caira’s plight, she suddenly engaged in a string of high laughter. “I keep forgetting you’re one thousand years old,” she chortled. “That’s going to take some getting used to, huh?”
Caira’s cheeks turned pink, and she offered a gawky half smile. More like I need to re-learn absolutely everything about this new life. Including expressions. I should make a note of that in my diary…
I’m gonna just… *inserts self in conversation*
How are you? Oh, me? I just spent 9 hours straight building a food system for my fantasy world… no I am not okay. But on the plus side I can now finally describe that dinner scene I’ve been working on for months!

If hours don't turn into days@devastate-lasting Ha ha, I’m probably just weird.
It’s not super different, and I’ve decided that they’re mostly vegetarians because it would have taken another 6 hours to create an animal system and Evie ain’t doin’ that xDDD
But their plants and manufactured foods are similar to ours, just with different names and colors. (Mostly because I’m lazy…) And it really only took 9 hours because I just sat there for 7 hours surfing the internet for inspiration and spent the last 2 actually writing stuff down.

Oh, me too! I spent, like, 5 minutes making an ingredient list for fruipups, which is basically like fruit-flavored/dipped popcorn, and I made myself soooo hungry…I’m totally having popcorn when I get home XD

*gasp* Lexi!!!! This is so good!!!!!!! I legitimately keep giggling to myself every time I read it–I can just feel poor Caira’s confusion. I love how you make her “miss” some modern-day things, like the expressions and the existence of coffee–it’s such a unique and endearing trait. Also, I’m so intrigued by the Matriarchs now, plus Alana is just a lovely name. (Have I mentioned that you’re really good at worldbuilding?) Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!!!

Aww, thank you!!:D It was one of the many things written during NaNo, so I appreciate that!!:) Yes, poor Caira… she doesn’t understand half of this new life, and jokes about being old-fashioned. A couple of her diary entries are only descriptions of everyday objects, like the violin. Or coffee. Thank you so much!! I thought it would be interesting:) Haha, yes, the Matriarchs… well, to put a long story short, Caira and her crew find a magic camp named Asperencia, which has been in hiding for centuries and is overseen by the Matriarchs. (The camp’s aesthetic was mostly inspired by Horizon Zero Dawn, so it has a tribal-y feeling). *Alana nods and thanks you* THANK YOU!! That’s so good to hear (or read?) that you enjoyed it!! Of course!! (Now it’s your turn to share because I’m dying to read more:P)
