      @gracie-j

      Grace, I was wondering: Since you have published novels, do you ever get fan mail from readers? If so, how often and what kinds of things do they say? I’m so sorry if these questions are nosy, you totally don’t have to answer. I was just wondering if you get any fan mail since you’ve published your stuff.

        @joy-caroline Not nosy at all! No, I have never before gotten fan mail. 🙁 Wait. No. I did get a letter from a lady who used to go to our church and one from my nana’s cousin back when I published my first one. They told me they enjoyed my book and were so happy to see such a young girl go so far. I don’t guess that counts, though, since I know them! I’ve never gotten fan mail from readers that I don’t know personally…which, come to think of it, is kind of depressing.

        One day, I’ll get fan mail, I’m sure! 😉

          Girl, I am SO SORRY I never responded to your message, but I just wanted to say that’s such amazing progress! You go, girl!!! 🙂 And I’m so happy that you submitted your short story! (I saw it whenever you posted it, but I must’ve forgotten to reply) Anyways, I’m excited for you and honestly think your story/characters are so cool! 😀

            How is everybody else’s writing been going today? Smooth sailing? I just (sort of) finished Newton’s chapter, but it needs some editing lol. I’ve been wanting to remake some more collages but I’ve been feeling 0% inspired… *sigh*

              My WIP is getting into another bout of sharing soon, I have finished with writing down what i need to change and it’s beginning to look good. I will do my best to be merciless with my sentences because I have a habit of wordiness, then i write a sentence I like and keep it even though it’s not necessary. After I finish with my current WIP, i want to go back and write what lead up to this story and what happens after.

              We crazy people are the normal ones.

                That’s super neat!! I’m glad to hear you’re making progress!! 🙂 Oh, girl, I’m the exact same way, so I totally relate lol Oooh, neat! It’s always fun writing what happens before/after the main story. Adds more depth to it! That’s cool!

                  For some reason your post didn’t show up here (mine does that all the time) but I still saw it, and thank you so much!! I’m really glad to have finished it (well, the first draft of it, anyways)! Haha, I fangirl over him all the time (probably too much) and honestly I’m so happy that other people like him as much as I do!! 🙂

                  That’s really neat!! I love your book’s title, by the way–it has a powerful punch to it and really stands out! Ooh, backstory is always fun! Oh, I feel for you on changing character’s names–mine have gone through a ridiculous amount of changes. (Have I ever told you how much I adore the name ‘Mejia’? Seriously, that’s such a cool name!) I’m glad you’re making progress! The very best of luck with it!! 🙂

                    @abigail-m

                    Oh my word!! Seriously?? Girl, I’m smiling sooo huge right now!!

                    So I think Newton and Deek would mostly be equal in height (Deek may be slightly taller, but not much). Caira would be a little shorter than both of them. Caira would act shy about having her picture taken, and would probably smile sheepishly. Deek would be proud to have his picture taken, and Newton would probably be a little confused (he isn’t used to having his picture taken ever, so he may just half smile).

                    THANK YOU so much for doing this!! If you need any more details, totally let me know!!!! 🙂

                      It’s going pretty good!  I started Chap. 3 of Lioness and it’s going pretty well.  About to send in my chapter to KP Critiques… 😃

                          Yes, I noticed that it’s not showing here.. huh. Oh, well, I’m glad you saw it anyway:)

                          Thanks! I’m glad you like the title. For me, it just kind of summed up the whole novel. And actually, the entire story was inspired by a photo I saw in a magazine a while back. Mejia is the only character all these years later to not have her name changed around a dozen times XD It is a seriously hard name to replace, so I’m just going to have to invent a different way of spelling it:)
                          Thanks:)

                          And NP:) I’m really looking forward to drawing Newton, Caira, and Deek! (It made me grin, picturing how they’d all react to having their picture taken). Details? Well, every detail helps. Especially like how do you picture them in your mind? Even the tiny, endless, or seemingly mundane details are often what illustrations are built from.
                          Like head/face shape, hairstyle, scars, clothing style, (do they have a more rough high adventure-fantasy look? Or a whimsical aesthetic?) Clothing is something I like to try my best to get right. But mostly just anything you can think of:)

                            @abigail-m

                            Wait, seriously?? That’s so neat you got inspired that way!! Oh, same! Newton is the only character who hasn’t went through a thousand name swaps lol And no problem!

                            Yay, I’m so happy you are!! Oh, me too!! Hmm… let me see…

                            Caira has long, wavy blond hair (if you want, it can be braided at the back, like a waterfall braid). She has pale skin and gray eyes, and an oval face shape. As for Caira’s clothing, she wears a lot of light blue dresses and boots (you can choose whichever color you think goes best—maybe tan or white?)

                            Deek has thick, dark brown hair that’s usually messy (I’m a fan of messy hairdos). He has gray eyes as well, and also a diamond face shape. I feel like he has more definite features to his face. Deek wears a lot of black, so you could include a long black cloak or something (and his sword, if you’d like). And boots. Cloaks and boots are fairly common in this world.

                            Newton has very messy, bright blond hair (he is a scavenger, so he sort of has a rough appearance). He has bright blue eyes, and a slightly round face shape. His skin color doesn’t matter too much—it could be slightly tan since he lives outside. As far as clothing, Newton always wears a very light brown cloak that goes down to his boots. He doesn’t have fancy clothing (obviously), so anything like that should work!

                            I think a high-adventure fantasy look would definitely fit, since that’s the genre of the book! If you have any more questions, feel free to let me know! Sorry I’m not the best at explaining things, so if I missed anything, tell me 🙂 Thank you so much for doing this!! I really mean it!! 😀

                              You’re totally gonna get fan mail!! You’re an AWESOME writer. I looked at your books on Amazon and every review is five stars.

                              I’m really gonna have to read the Daughters of the Seven Seas sometime. I reaaaally want to but unfortunately since there aren’t any sports at my school rn due to the pandemic I’m out of a job. (I worked as an official during games.) *sighs* So I don’t have much money to spend rn but the first chance I get I HAVE to buy them.
