      Hi friends,

As most of you know, I’ve written a time travel novel, but as yet, it is moanfully without a name.

I would like the title to hint at the genre, but it’s most important that it sounds cool and intriguing. I thought I’d list some ideas I’ve come up with and see if you have any other ideas or alterations.

      .Both ages darkened
      .No flight from desolation
      .The time for courage

      I’ll tag those who have already read through this book. @kate-flournoy @emma-flournoy @dragon-snapper @graciegirl @winter-rose @northerner @hope

The first one grabs me the most, but the rhythm is a bit off to me; what about ‘Darkened Ages’?

@Daeus of the three I like the last one best, but none of them are really jumping out to me as worthy of the story. Is there something… less generic? Maybe something that more obviously says ‘time travel’?
All three of those also seem slightly forced, theme-wise. *scrunches self down in chair and trails off into unhelpful muttering* I don’t have anything helpful to suggest yet… maybe you could look at the symbols for better inspiration. You don’t have to go for the obvious thematic summaries. Symbols embody different parts of your theme. What symbol do you have that embodies the core of it and would also make a cool title?
          Heh. No pressure here. 😛

@Kate-Flournoy @Daeus Symbol? EAGLE, EAGLE, EAGLE! To Soar Like Eagles.

*snort* I KNOW. But that’s all I’ve ever been able to think of when I’ve thought what you could name it.
Like Kate said though, I think those three sound too contrived.

              @Emma-Flournoy ha! Well, that’s definitely a symbol. 😛 *coughs* I was thinking though… ya know… like… time travel??*cough**cough*

@Kate-Flournoy Ah, stop raining on my parade. XD
Yeah. But the like…time travel…symbols? What even would there be. Nothing there seems it would be dramatic enough for the dramatic feel of the book.

@daeus – as they mentioned, those three sound a bit forced. I can’t really give suggestions tho, because I haven’t read the book. 🙂

@daeus I know I haven’t read your book, but I thought I might be able to at least help you with your title. 🙂 I like the second one best. I don’t much care for the last one; it sounds a little too unoriginal. If you want to convey time travel in the title though, none of these seem to show that. And I agree with what Josiah said about the first title being shortened to Darkened Ages.

I like the last one, because that does relate to your book the mos, although I like the wording of ‘The Time of Courage’, or even without the ‘the’ in there.

@emma-flournoy Actually, I’ve thought about “To Soar On Eagles”. It doesn’t seem very time travely, but it is a nice title, so I’ll leave it up there as an option.

Let me try to think of some more ideas.

@Daeus that does give off some pretty strong Native American vibes, just so you’re aware.

@daeus I haven’t read your book, but I think that I like the last one best. But instead of The Time of Courage, I personally like The Time for Courage. Just my thoughts.

                                  Okay, here’s another one.

                                  “The Man Who Came Back”
