Oh, I didn’t see Wilhelm’s chart!! *Facepalm* Stupid inconsistent notifs.
Observations:
– I want to know who Wilhelm is betrothed to. What exactly is the dynamic here? Who is this girl?
– I somehow did not know he had golden hair. I pictured him as dark-haired this whole time. How dare I assume his hair color.
– It’s really fun that he’s a lawful, rule-driven character who legitimately tries to keep to his ‘purpose’ in every situation. It’s probably my favorite thing about him. He reminds me of the Paladin class in D&D – a holy warrior who holds their sacred oaths over everything else.

Yeaaah. I’ve been building a sky ship called the Zephyr. It’s a ship from a book I like to read. Right now it looks more like a floating building, but I plan to fix that later on lol. And I spawned a cat, and named after a typo my friend made. His named Hewrd.

Hehehehehe… He’s an eligible bachelor. That has to be hilarious from his perspective. Is he aware of that, or oblivious? He’s obviously aware that he looks like his father.
Oh my gracious. I never even thought about this. He is! Poor guy. He wouldn’t be oblivious, just extremely cynical and suspicious of ulterior motives. He’d probably feel bad for any girl that gets pushed at him. He doesn’t think anyone would try and befriend him for friendship’s sake–only for political advantage.
I just realized how tall he is, and that’s one heck of a height difference between our characters.

Firstly, you just made me squeak in joy and turn my normal perch into a gollum-esq crouch. XD
I shall answer thy lovely observations as best I can…
1. Great question! Unfortunately, I don’t know much about her. That was one of the undeveloped part of the story…. They have been betrothed for about two years. It was arranged by the parents of the two kids. She is a brown headed lass with bright eyes of some light color. Unfortunately for him, she’s a little boy crazy and loves the whole situation a little too much. He would not mind if it weren’t that she gets on his last nerve on purpose. He has to be chivilarous, so she has never actually seen him angry. It makes her curious. He’s so focused on his studies that sometimes the only way to get a reaction from him is to fluster some feathers.
Their relationship does get better as they get older. Her friendship becomes something he prizes. Later. Once they both mature a bit. They are supposed to get married when he is twenty (and she is 19). They have some time to sort stuff out. Get into real fights. Find out horrible/fabulous secrets. All that. XD for the present, she is simply his “Lady Love.”
2. Lol. Well, it does darken as he gets older, although it’s always a golden hue.
3. That fits him very well. I feel like rule breakers are generally considered more interesting characters, but they’re not everyone lol. He really genuinely wants to follow the rules, no matter what that costs. And I like the term paladin.

I think I’m having dramatic mood swings today because every time someone has messaged me or posted in the past hour, I start laughing hysterically. Very different from how I was a few hours ago. XD *Munches on cookie*

A sky ship is a cool idea. Oh oh oh, you can have a rope ladder by putting a normal ladder over a glass block. I’m not sure if that would work, but maybe it would. You might be able to much smarter Minecraft builder than me.

Well you see, he was kidnapped and told that he had to marry one of three troll princesses. It was a long, uncomfortable period of socializing with each princess and trying to be very polite about being kidnapped.
I think the best part about writing this little story about him was the fact that he gave each troll princess a legit chance. XD
It just wasn’t to be.
He has a lot of crazy life stories, now that I think about it. He just doesn’t talk about them unless prompted, and even then, the stories are too long to fully dive into.

This is sort of what I expected, and I’m glad to know I’m right. XD The idea of the girl annoying him because she’s curious about his reaction is so cute and funny. A great way to test Wilhelm’s chivalry, in my opinion.

Plus it’s fun to have a character with important oaths that might connect to his character arc.

Thank you! Oh yeah! I’ve actually done something like this before. I used commands to get a barrier block instead of glass though, so that’s kind of cheating if it’s for a survival project lol.

Honestly… I didn’t expect to like her as much as I do. She has been such a vague idea from the beginning. I knew she was there, but not much more.
16 year-old me was much more involved with the general themes where there was DrAmA and HaRd cHoIcEs. 😂 Now I’m looking back and, while not tempted to make it lighter, realize there’s a lot more pain involved than I thought. Especially now that I actually like his family and friends lol.

Cool little thing.
So last night I wrote a scene that has been in my head where Baron’s heart literally stops. You probably all know how it goes where you write something, then add something to it that you weren’t planning on but somehow makes so much sense?
That was this.
In the scene, just before Baron dies, his connection to the wind snaps. Turns out, a single moment without that connection is the scariest thing Baron has ever experienced.
I was thinking about it and it makes so much sense. Elementals are born connected usually, they live their entire lives with something they usually don’t consider just an ability, but as a companion. That’s what leads to the personifications of elements: the fact that Elementals see their elements as a close friend or twin.
Baron doesn’t just control the wind, he’s wind’s companion. It’s his friend who loves to run off into fields and pull at him to follow.
That single moment where that connection is gone would be the first time he’s never felt the wind there. It’s always been his constant, and suddenly it wasn’t anymore. That freaks him out more than dying in that final moment, because inside is too much calm.
Also, Wind Charmers usually have ADHD! Their always off, always distracted, always have a million things running through them. I don’t think Baron is, but that’s just a fun fact.
