Moth
Lucian’s face was hard to interpret. Moth didn’t shy away from studying him longer than it was normal to do so.
The first time Moth had ever met a pair of siblings, they had been twins. These brothers did not look identical, and if Moth had to guess, Lucian looked older. His hair was a dirtier blond, and he had a mark on his forehead, just like Ellis. But the shape of it was wrong, somehow. As if it was meant to look like Ellis’s, but didn’t.
Moth had met someone with a strange feature like that before. There was something oddly fantastical about such strange features, and he immediately decided Lucian was interesting.
“It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Lucian Kade Stormwatcher,” he replied.

August 12, 2026 at 12:54 pm #213237I think Wolf will reach the doors first.
Wilhelm
He was within ten feet of Wolfgang when the taller boy smacked the doorpost as he passed it, claiming his victory. The boys flew into the gymnasium and were immediately met by a horde of dangerous activities.
Wilhelm skidded to a stop. His breath caught in his throat for the first time since the start of the race, but it had nothing to do with the exertion.
The gym was beyond description. It was the kind of place one found in sagas and ballads, an unfamiliar land that somehow felt like home. He turned slowly on his heel, eyes drifting over the place. His shoulders relaxed, despite the crowd surging around him.
“Well. That hardly counts for a morning run. Still, I would like to spend an hour at the pells before entering combat with anyone. My discipline needs tested. What about you, Wolfgang?”

A glint of flitting gold drifted farther into the gymnasium. Moth, talking with a few other students. The hard knot inside Ari’s stomach loosened a little. He almost smiled.
You could go down there and…
And what? Join a conversation? More like accidentally vaporize whatever friendship the fairie boy was building. No, there was a better place for Ari Verenion. Distance was always best.
He crouched at the top of the climbing wall, watching the room below like a gargoyle watching over it’s cathedral. Yes, this was a much better place.
More especially good when a familiar figure stepped through the gym doors carrying a heavy looking bag and a too light smile. Ari’s eyes narrowed at the boy. Remington.

Ary, please socialize eventually. It’s good for you.
I’m going to assume Ari has seen Remi around before, because they’ve both been here longer than just a day.
Remington
One of the princes was up on the climbing wall, as he often was. He was surveying the gym, his dark hair falling over his face, withdrawn and almost haggard.
“Hello up there, Mister Spider!” Remington held up a hand at Ari from far below, fingers rippling in a sort of fluttery wave. He cocked his head and beamed.
Ari didn’t react.
“I’d imagine climbing that wall is so boring!” Remington cleared his throat at called up to the boy, voice rising loud enough to be heard. “You must not have many friends! Care to join me for a real activity? Fancy croquet?“

Is it though? XD
This kid has the social instincts of a dragon. *Facepalm* I guess that’s my fault but still.
Ari
His fingers were going to bore through the wooden frame beneath him if he clenched them any tighter. He usually got by with ignoring Remington.
Today appeared unusual. First breakfast, and now here, in his known haunt. Why were people talking to him? At least the kid at breakfast hadn’t known any better.
Croquet. He had a vague idea of the game. He shifted his gaze to the windows enough to keep the boy below in the corner of his vision.
“I’ll gladly knock you out with one of those mallets if that’s what you want.”

Remington
“Oh, thank you for the offer!” Remington laughed. “But believe it or not, that’s actually not what I was asking for. I want you to hit the ball with the mallet.”
He hit one of his fists with the other, trying to make it very clear. “Mallet. Hit. Ball. Do you know how to do that?”

Ari
He could nearly feel the darkness pooling in his eyes, smothering their silver flecks. His hands relaxed their hold on the climbing wall.
“Remington La Creux, have you ever known me to play games?’

“No. But that’s exactly why I’m asking you. This game brings out the sunshine in everyone! Your sunshine just happens to be deeply buried inside you. Surely you want to have a little fun!”

*Loses it*
Ari
His eyebrows rose. Remington wasn’t leaving. Beautiful.
Having fun? Sunshine? He scoffed before a memory of pleading hazel eyes could surface.
“Come play with me, brother.”
He grit his teeth. Too bad Remington was twenty feet below him on the floor. He’d have finished this situation before now.
“I was enjoying myself perfectly well enough before you showed up.”

As an introvert myself I feel this in some deep part of my soul.
(Ari’s behavior isn’t purely introversion though. He has serious people issues)

I don’t know whether to laugh or be horrified.
