sorry I just love seeing how people like my worldbuilding, and given that you have a sci-fi WIP too…..
I like the sci-fi. It makes it so that they can do their wacky stuff without it sounding to unbelievable. I don’t know if the real TF2 has the respawn machine and stuff, but I know it isn’t sci-fi and honestly, it almost gets to unbelievable without that space aspect.
People are more willing to suspend their disbelief with sci-fi than other fiction works.
I like Sniper. Huntress too, but Sniper more. It’s probably partly cuz he’s Australian, (at least he was raised there) and I have a friend who’s part Australian who I have a crush on so that might influence me a bit in Sniper’s favor.
Hmmm…Changelings sound so cool! I like the crocodile Argonite aesthetics too. So Changeling for powers, crocodile scales for looks.
Uh…I think Sniper and Huntress do have some influence over this. XD

I have no idea honestly in terms of the respawning thing. The real game series, I haven’t actually played it I’m just obsessed with the lore for some reason, and a lot of it is open to interpretation by the player. Respawning is weirdly sorta canon sorta not, and there’s loads of theories as to whether there are canonically just nine characters (Huntress is my own character, so she doesn’t count lol) or eighteen, nine on each team, and for the game itself they just used the same models and voicelines and such to make it easier to code. (It took like a decade to develop and release–coincidentally it came out in my birth year.
and the very meaning of the name Keilah is “fortress” what the heck how do these things happen–)I tend to go for the “there’s only nine/ten in my case and they’re like cloned or something” theory myself, cause it’s so much simpler and that’s what most of the tie-in comics seem to support (with a few exceptions, but they don’t affect the story).
I think I made it a sci-fi simply because I thought it’d be fun to experiment with a world that’s basically “Earth but a whole galaxy”, and made like twelve different species because I wanted a break from my usual dragons.
And then it made everything in the existing worldbuilding suddenly make a whole lot more sense.

you cannot have him he’s minewell technically Huntress’s but we all know she’s mostly me so…..MINEXD XD XD I have officially lost my marbles, don’t take that last bit seriously, I know you didn’t mean it that way.

yeah when creating the different species I was like “well I want my creatures to be more or less unique; some of them can’t be but they’ll be balanced out by those that are” and I saw someone else’s crocodile Sniper art and I was like “Bingo, if I tweak this so he isn’t full croc, maybe like half…..” Later I realized his design had a little bit of shark in there too, and possibly some kangaroo for the shape and strength of the tail. (probably why some Argonites are sharks instead of crocs)
I got detailed stories for how every one of them came to be what they are lol
and yess a Changeling/Argonite hybrid is pretty much exactly that–color-changing or unusually colored crocodile scales. Given that Huntress is more Changeling than human, her and Sniper’s kids would be genetically three-way hybrids (tribrids?) but wouldn’t have any trace of their human ancestry so that’s what they’d be.
oh yeah and as long as you don’t reference any of these characters’ names in specific (cause they themselves are based off someone else’s copyrighted work), you are completely allowed to mention any of the species I came up with in your own stories, since I know your characters travel between galaxies.

Wait, really? Wow, that’s cool! Though, I can’t take credit for the nagas. My big brother, Caleb, is the one who took them from mythology, tweaked them, and then created different species. He’s thinking about joining KP, and if he does I’m sure he’d love to show you his drawings. You two actually have similar drawing styles.

He’s an Ornithiform! His in-game personality is crazy patriotic and deeply loyal to America (or, in this universe, the Systemic Republic), and I’d seen several drawings of him online that depicted him as an eagle because of this. He’s one of the less original designs I have, but I still love it, as it was the first one I drew.
Oh and the honey thing? Ornithiforms LOVE honey. He has this habit of getting it all over himself on purpose so more often than not, he ends up smelling like it if you get too close.

Wow, this is a great honor. I shall hold this great honor deal to my heart. This trial I have been trying to win for… three months!
