September 1, 2025 at 10:51 pm #205621Thank you. Yes we were. They came for every piano or dance recital despite living 3 hours away, and usually timed their Christmas visit to coincide with my birthday. My dad was asked to officiate the funeral.

September 4, 2025 at 9:02 am #205743Guys I’m so scared we’re going to have to put down our dog. ? I think I might have shared requests about him before, but in the past year (or maybe less), he’s had health issues, mostly pulling muscles, tearing an ACL, and most recently we found out something’s wrong with his back. We’ve taken him to the vet multiple times for multiple different things, and they’ve always given us medicine to give him or the next action step to take to help him. This time around, the vet thinks (without looking getting an MRI done), that he either has a slipped disk or a pinched nerve in his back. She gave us medicine to help the muscles to relax and to take away the pain while it hopefully heals on its own. We should be able to tell if it’s healed itself in two weeks (closer to one week now) once we’ve given him all the medicine. If it doesn’t heal itself, the next course of action is an MRI, which we just can’t afford right now, and even if we could, we either wouldn’t be able to afford the surgery or wouldn’t be able to go through that again (the recovery is hard because he’s a pretty big dog).
But… we got home from being out of town all weekend and Bandit was so excited to be home from the kennel that he ran/jumped onto the porch, but then yelped and started limping and holding his back right leg off the ground. We’re hoping it’s just a little sprain or something or maybe he just stepped on a little rock and hurt his paw.
So we’re hoping and praying what happened this morning is nothing and that his back continues to heal, because his health problems have become a financial issue and even just sad for him, having to live with the pain they can cause.
I know he’s just a dog, but I really love him (I think most of us do), and putting him down would be so hard. So prayers would be greatly appreciated. <33

September 4, 2025 at 9:27 am #205746I’ve been praying for you. ? I’ve lost both my grandparents on my mom’s side, and even though I probably didn’t see them as much or know them as well as you probably did your grandmother, I totally understand what you’ve probably been thinking and feeling. Sending hugs and prayers for peace, comfort, and strength. ❤️
