I have no idea. They’re just crazy about making laws. If you asked them they really wouldn’t be able to tell you either. They would just say “It’s too many.” When they said that to my dad about the last adoption we did, he said “Too many for what? We can feed them, clothe them, and house them.” They thought for a moment, and agreed. 😀 But that was just the adoption agency, who actually love kids and want them to have homes. It’s a little harder to convince the government.

I meant to reply to this earlier. I’ll definitely be praying for you! Adoption laws are super crazy in Australia, I don’t know what it’s like in the US, but it’s no easy feat. I hope everything works out smoothly.

@rochellaine Too many kids? that’s interesting; a family I know has a ton of kids they’ve adopted and they continue to adopt. But I’ll definitely be praying for you and your family that your plans work and everything will turn out okay! 🙂 <3

We know several families with twenty or more kids. 🙂 It’s just some skeptical person in the government who was supposed to approve the paperwork as a formality decided that it’s impossible for a family to be “normal” or something with this many kids, so they put a hold-up on everything.

@ethryndal Thank you! Yes, it’s basically all about timing now. We want the kids to be able to come home as soon as possible, but have to finish all the extra paperwork first. 🙁

hey y’all
so five years ago my family moved from China (where we had lived for 9 years) to the states. I have dealt with string homesickness off and on for those five years. but this past week our American neighbors (basically an extension of my family) from China were visiting us. they left this morning and already I have what I call a homesickness attack. Because the devil uses it to make me feel like I’m too different from other people to be effective. so please be praying that I will be able to fight this.
