                I had a school book once with that analogy. A couple more: The boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn’t. She walked into a room like a centipede with 98 missing legs.

                  @theducktator lol it’s a stylistic thing, I think.

                    THE FIRST ONE!!

                    Talk about that after you PUBLISH the book! You’ve read it a thousand times and so has your editor, you both read the first printed copy, catch all those mistakes, and then you make the big order and start selling them, only to see mistakes! *sobbing*

                      Ooooooh…that hurts. I have so far picked out two typos in the one story that I have published and they drive me nuts every time I see them.

                        Same! I average about five to ten to every 300 or so pages. I doubt people notice all of them, but I still go crazy.

                          But hey, it could be worse. You could be writing a Grammer textbook.

                          I think I find more typos in school reading than in anything else. But then nowadays that is most of the reading I do, sadly.

                            That is depressingly funny.

                              Isn’t it? I suppose one must find something to laugh about when slugging through modern political world views.
