Do you lean towards hard or soft worldbuilding? (hard meaning concrete rules for the readers to understand, vs soft meaning more open ended possibilities where anything goes.)

Hi! Nice to meet you, welcome to Kingdom Pen! I’m hybridlore, or just Hybrid, a homeschooled Christian teenager. Your WIP looks cool! I just clicked on the link, I’m on the prologue, but it reminds me a little of the Wingfeather Saga, if you’ve ever read those. I’ll read it and let you know what I think in a minute!
Awesome to see another fantasy/sci-fi author! I love both of them, but my WIP right now probably leans more toward the dystopian side. And your dog sounds so sweet! I love dogs xD

- Little Women, Louisa May AlcottI love math too, however I’m not very good at it, I tend to get confused. I also write sci-fi/fantasy! I read a little of everything, though.
I kind of do both hard and soft worldbuilding, but I haven’t been doing it that long, it’s more of a recent project. I think I like hard more, but haven’t done enough to know for sure.
I don’t know about concepts, but my all time favorite book is Eragon by Christopher Paolini. He did a really good job of creating Algaesia and making it seem real! I also like the theme of The Strangers by Margarete Peterson Haddix and the way she uses alternate universes.
I’m working on a world called Andromeda where the world is corrupted by Pythonos, weilders of Dark Magick and pure evil. The characters have to try to save their fallen world with the help of the Great One (representing God, I’m writing an allegory!) before it’s too late.
The last question is a trick question! Because if I was planning to return it but you guess that I won’t, that you guessed incorrectly, so I won’t return it, but then that would make your guess correct! I guess I would return it because you guessed correctly? I don’t know! This is confusing, haha!

I don’t have a favorite character, I love them all!
And I don’t think a hot dog is a sandwich. Don’t ask me why because I can’t prove it, but it’s just my opinion!

Hmm… 🤔 it depends on how thick the soup is. I’ve had some pretty thin stuff that I wouldn’t call a smoothie, but if it’s thicker, I’d say maybe…?
