@elishavet-pidyon XD love it when the quiet characters have a secret explosive temper.
I am very much struggling to think of what the experiment should be, sorry. I failed chemistry two years in a row in school so I’m not really the best at this lol

June 16, 2025 at 2:12 pm #204016XD Me too.
I like science well enough. I really liked Geology and Radiology. (Lots of elements causing drama together.) Hence my choice of lecture. XD
I can think up ideas for the expirement… Identifying minerals by the color of their rubbings, whether they glow in the dark, how they break, how hard they are, and if they fiz when a certain acid it put on them. Even fantastic aspects could be fun. Does it “drink” water, change color, or vibrate when touching skin?
Or I could add a random bully and make the class so awkward that the teacher lets out early and calls some kiddos back for a talk.

Marcel gave Celarent a wry smile. “You want to go ask her?”

June 17, 2025 at 9:50 pm #204051Seb asked the twins a question if you want to revisit that, or just tell me what they said off-roleplay.
@loops and @elishavet-pidyon
Y’all can continue if you want, I am brain dead. I’m so sorry. XD

I like the mineral identification idea
@whalekeeper I’m really curious what your new pfp is from, if it is from anything. It looks like a stop motion set⭐️World's Slowest Writer⭐️
June 18, 2025 at 9:50 am #204059It’s from Clangers! I used to watch it and it popped into my head yesterday.

June 19, 2025 at 1:15 am #204094I remember nothing from science class except stressful lectures so sorry if this is inaccurate lol
Lois
Lois shrugged in response to the question. He took off his glasses and replaced them with the safety goggles. Then he squinted down at the instruction sheet for the experiment. The words blurred into incoherent smudges.
“Alright that’s not gonna work,” he muttered to himself. He put the glasses back on. Now that he could read them, he scanned the instructions quickly.
“Looks like we’re identifying minerals.”
Another student came by, passing out small boxes of mineral samples. Finally they had all the supplies they needed.
As they began the first step of the experiment, writing down the colors of each mineral’s rubbing, Lois found his mind wandering. The note from Felicity had started him worrying again.
“Viktor,” he said suddenly, “Can I ask you something that doesn’t relate to science for a second?” Viktor looked up from his textbook. “Did you ever have an imaginary friend growing up?”

June 19, 2025 at 1:58 am #204097“Do you want me to take him back?”

Looks fine to me! XD
Although, now I’m curious about the note from Felicity.
Also, Lois’s question reminded me of a part of Viktor’s character I completely forgot. XD
Viktor
This mineral left a husky, gray streak on the plate. Viktor passed the plate to Lois and reached for the second mineral.
It was a dark piece, almost black against his glove. He scriched it against the the porcelain and was surprised to find a brilliant purple mark left behind. He turned the mineral and rubbed again. Same lovely color.
Viktor tugged his textbook closer where the spectrum of colors was listed. This one was so different from what he had expected that he was unsure what to do next.
“Viktor,” a friendly voice pulled him from a complicated explanation of mineral stains. Viktor blinked. Lois.
“Can I ask you something that doesn’t relate to science for a second? Did you ever have an imaginary friend growing up?”
“An imaginary friend?” The other students were talking loud enough to cover a deviation in topic. Viktor drummed his fingers along the table ledge as his mind shifted away from the present.
“Well, yes… I guess I did. He was super strong. Brave too. Could do all the things I struggled with. I… called him by an old name of mine, which is funny to think of now.” He gave a short laugh. “Did you have one?”

June 19, 2025 at 8:56 pm #204112Although, now I’m curious about the note from Felicity.
Oh, whoops. I didn’t realize that I forgot to write out what it said XD
It was just Felicity asking why he didn’t tell her that Brea was here. Not super important lol

July 14, 2025 at 2:16 am #204581Hi I know I should be working on my actual wip, but role playing is less scary
Lois
Lois blinked. It was the only expression visible on his typically deadpan face.
“I don’t remember,” he responded. He paused, seemingly looking for the right words, before asking, “But did you ever get into fights with your imaginary friend?”

July 14, 2025 at 8:37 pm #204589Lol. Hey, it works. XD
Viktor
“Fights?” It took most of a second for the word to sort itself out into memory. “Maybe if I was frustrated and just wanted to yell at someone who would not cause trouble with our case worker. But it was nice to have someone who agreed with me. I argued more with my sisters.”
Viktor grinned good naturedly. Nadían never had settled on a name for her toy horse. It sat on her bedside table, a silent witness to their many “rotten” suggestions.
No, he never felt the need to argue with something imagined, unless it was to practice for the next time he saw someone else in real life. He glanced at Lois.
“Why do you ask?”
